listen2me 23 1,825 Posted August 27, 2024 Cowboys are screwed as a franchise. Pay a WR. Now they will pay a QB who has proven to not be able to cut it in the postseason. Still have to pay Parsons. Its like they are happy to exit in the WC round again. They are running it back with less of a roster than the one last year that got down 27-0 at home in the WC round to the Packers. His cap number this year is $55mm so yeah it would be in their best interests financially for THIS YEAR to resign him to a longer deal and reduce that cap hit. Long term though they should look to explore trading him and if not, possibly just let him walk in FA next year. I can guarantee you this is what Dak wants...the open market in '25.
