HTH 95 Posted September 5, 2024 Ravens put Ali on IR. Should I pick up Raven's HIll or Jet's Braelon Allen? I'd like to make a move before the game tonight. TIA
GobbleDog 996 Posted September 5, 2024 Dang... I even drafted Ali last night with the last pick in a guillotine league. Oh well. You could always wait out the 4 games.?. Ok let's see... Braelon Allen (didn't do much research on him this year)... Jets 4th rd pick out of Big Wisky. Just don't see how amounts to anything until a Hall injury who's only 23 and didn't miss a game last year. Seems like a long-shot. What about Jaleel McLaughlin (fat chance he's still available) - pass catching back for Denver. I'd look though. Dylan Laube, back-up in Vegas who's supposedly an amazing pass-catcher. If they over-work Z. White (which they will) and he gets hurt, Laube takes over in a great situation with a coach who works his Rb to death. Audric Estime, Denver's rookie who some think is gonna steal Javonte Williams job this year. Tank Bigsby ... back-up in Jax who was highly touted out of college (I drafted him last year hoping he'd overtake Etienne)... didn't happen, but supposedly gets more involved this year and he's the go-to back up in case of injury. Jordan Mason ... McCaff's backup. Lord knows he's old and overworked. Tyrone Tracy ... Giant's backup and he's a rookie. I'm running low on ideas.... i guess last but not least Justice Hill. But he's never amounted to much, so even if ya hit the injury lotto, not sure it pays off.

HTH 95 Posted September 5, 2024 Man, these are some deep sleepers!! I just picked up Jeudy and may hold him for a week. Sound reasonable?
GobbleDog 996 Posted September 5, 2024 That's an option - hold Jeudy. Pray for a miracle monster game - trade immediately to the first sucker who bites.
HTH 95 Posted September 5, 2024 Hey, What's your take on Drake Maye?
GobbleDog 996 Posted September 5, 2024 Maye is supposedly a great Qb according to scouts which is why he was 3rd overall. But there's scuttle he might not take the field this year. Or at least not til mid- to late-season. Patriots might not want to mentally-wreck him on a train-wrecked team.

WhiteWonder 2,733 Posted September 8, 2024 i know you asked for gobble but I like Hill. I mean I have him rostered in a dynasty so it's a little different. Also have Estime on that same team and should have added Mason because I had a feeling Mitchell was going to be out for the year. I don't think Bigsby does much until an Etienne injury. Same with Allen and the Jets but if both Hall and Etienne went down i'd rather have Allen. Dylan Laube... why do we think he is next man up over Mattison? Abdullah? and i'll be honest I knew nothing of Rasheen Ali and had no indication he was the back to own behind Henry. I added Hill weeks ago.

I didn't think so either, despite the coach saying in the off-season "we want to get Tank more involved." But jeesh... 12 carries for Etienne (3.6 ypc) and 12 for Tank (6.1 ypc). Didn't help Etienne either fumbling the game away in the 3rd quarter. Jags coach is on the hot-seat with no loyalty to Urban Meyer's Etienne. Might see some changes if the fumbling and inefficiency continue.
