Boeings "best and final offer" rejected for its workers on strike

Recommended Posts

Best and final offer lol. What are you gonna do? Fire them all if they do not accept it? That would gut Boeing. This strike cost them 1.2 BILLION dollars in 2 weeks. They are not in charge no matter if they think they are or not. The union has them by the balls.

Well... Boeing knows that the US can't let them fail, since they are our only air transport manufacturer (and one of two in the world with Airbus from France, although China and Russia are trying to get in).  It'll be interesting to see how this shakes out.

You think the government might help them and break the strike?

Maybe. Boeing is run like a company that knows they won't be allowed to fail. Which is to say, not run well.

I don't know how it will play out, but it's not a typical strike situation.

Hard to get a sense of which side will blink first.

I think Boeing is going to have to. Unless the government steps in and breaks the strike it is going to cost Boeing 2-3 BILLION dollars a month for this strike and that is just to boeing. This damages their supply chain in a cascading effect.
