Trump and Elon have no authority.  The Dems killed this spending bill.

Have you not read the actual news coverage of this?

Well I guess we can put the "you don't care about the disaster relief" narrative to rest.  This bill had it.  Just goes to show the Dems don't care about disater relief.  I am waiting patiently for @The Real timschochet to denounce the Dems for voting against disaster relief.  The GOP cares about disaster relief.  You don't.  Laughing that disaster relief failed.  Such a clown.

I’m not laughing about it.

The Democrats opposed it because they oppose extending the debt ceiling at this time. If they do that it makes it easier for Trump to get his new tax cut next year and the Democrats don’t want that to happen.

I understand that reasoning but personally I would have voted for it anyhow because of the disaster aid. So no I’m not going to denounce the Democrats, but I don’t agree with them.

Then you shouldn't have denounced Trump/Elon/Vivek/GOP for opposing last night's bill.  They opposed all the pork in the bill.  Be consistent.  If you understand why the Dems opposes this simply extension of the status quo then you should understand why the GOP opposed the bill last night.  That's why you're a hack.  Your bias is clear and you look for any reason to denounce Trump/GOP and any reason to excuse the same behavior from the Dems.

The fact that this vote failed is more evidence of the ineptness of the GOP run House. Say what you want about Pelosi but she never allowed a bill to be voted on unless she knew it would pass. She counted the votes beforehand and if it was likely to fail she tabled the bill.

How many Dems voted against it, and what percentage of each party voted for/against?

Wrong.  The GOP KNEW this would fail, as I posted earlier.   It just shows that the Dems don't care about the "disaster relief" that you used to denounce Elon/Trump/GOP all day.  It was never about that.  Now the GOP gets to tout how the Dems voted against disaster relief.  This was an actual CR as opposed to the pork laden bill that was proposed last night.  It SHOULD have passed.

I didn’t exactly denounce Trump. I mocked him for working with Johnson the whole time and then deciding to kill the bill at the last second, not because of any principle but because Elon was unhappy. And now surrendering a day later and ultimately surrendering even more in a few days when Republicans cave and go back to the original deal which is now inevitable. Trump is an inept clown IMO.

Look maga lovers…embrace that the government is perhaps getting shutdown tomorrow. It’s what you voted for.

The shtick that Elon / Trump didn’t kill the bill that was ready to pass is good stuff 😂

As @supermike80 posted earlier, you show on a daily basis how little you understand.  I notice you haven't posted in the Fani Willis thread today after your prediction that she'd be taking Trump to trial was proven wrong.  As usual.

I am fine with the government shutting down.  Won't change my life much, if at all.  How will it change yours?

Who knows? If it occurs I just assume it will end up costing more down the line when they eventually come to some agreement.

Exactly.  We've had them before.  And without consequences these idiots, and I mean on both sides, will just keep doing the same sh*t every time.

Because I don’t care about Fani Willis. I care about that case. Trump deserves to be prosecuted, and put in jail, for what he said on that phone call. It’s too bad that it’s now delayed for reasons that have nothing to do with what Trump did. Hopefully someday he’ll face the music.

It's not delayed.  It's dead.   Show us again how clueless you are 😂

I’m kind of enjoying the show TBH. That Congress goes through this every year or so isn’t the best however.

There you go. This was what Trump wanted when he, and Elon, scuttled the deal. I knew we’d get there!

How did the Commanders new stadium sneak into that bill?? Who's idea was that?

No.  The GOP offered a viable CR.  I mean, this wasn't supposed to be a budget bill.  It was a 3 month budget extension to avoid shutting the government down.  And, other than the debt ceiling extension and things everyone wanted like disaster relief, that's all this had in it.   Considering how many times the Dems have raised the debt limit that shouldn't be a deal breaker.  The only reason they voted against it is that it didn't include all their pork.  If they cared about keeping government open they would have voted for it.

Not sure what you are referring to,  but I’d guess something like this is usually some rich fock framing it as a jobs thing or good for business and generating taxes.

Ask Elon he knows all about government shilling for business!

Regardless, it was a Republican bill that had bipartisan support, and the world's richest person torpedoed it.

This is not how America is supposed to work.

This country is headed to the rocks.

38 republicans voted against this “clean bill” along with all the Dems. No clue why but that’s what happens when it’s all last minute.

The original spending bill was shitcanned by Don.

You know how else it's not supposed to work?  Congress springing a 1500 page "Continuing Resolution" late in the day with no time for the people voting on it to read it or debate it.

On another note, private citizens are allowed to voice their opinions.   That's called the 1st amendment.  It's unfortunate for you that the people voting on this POS bill give credence to certain opinions but unless your stance is private citizens can't have an opinion on a POS bill, that's actually exactly how it's supposed to work.   Am I not allowed to call my congressman any more to try to influence them?

Tim said the same thing.  Here's what I asked him.  Maybe you'll actually answer me since he was too chicken sh*t to do so:

And did you really bring up the bill being last minute?  WTF was the bill they rolled out last night??????  😂
