But, he said he couldn't play the Genesis because he wasn't ready to play golf following his mother's death. Which is, again, totally fine. Just don't turn around two days later and play golf after making that declaration.

Im sure theres some crap in various contracts, maybe with ESPN that say he has to play in a certain number of events unless injured. they need people watching and he's still going to be the biggest draw. he's played in all 3 matches for Jupiter. Homa hasn't played the past 2.

It was genuinely funny watching Tiger hit 56 degree wedge from "99" not realizing it was 199. You see the screen in front of you, there is not way he could have been 99 yards away so I absolutely get them telling him 99 under the assumption he knew the yardage was closer to 200 than 100. the banter that went on after that, the way Tom Kim and Kisner were laughing and the way Tiger ultimately owned up to his fock up and called it one of the most embarrassing moments in his golfing life was pretty funny.

Even though I have been labeled "Mr LIV" around here, I have now watched almost as much TGL as LIV over LIVs lifespan.  I don't think this is surprising. Still not sure of its shelf life but the fact that it is prime time, indoors, in the winter makes it an easy watch. If you exclude some final rounds of PGA Tour events, i've probably now watched more LIV than PGA this season. I didn't watch a single shot of the WMPO, I checked out basically after round 1 of the Genesis, etc.

It's still going to irk me that most people who trashed LIV for its format, with teams being part of that, are now super on board with teams when its produced by Tiger, the PGA, ESPN etc.  BUT that does not sway my opinion that there is a market for team/club golf in the sport. It's a global game and club soccer's popularity could translate to club golf.

It’s like playing real golf vs in a simulator. I’d much rather play outside, but when that isn’t an option in the middle of winter I will play in a simulator. I’d much rather watch a real tournament, but on Monday/Tuedsay night when nothing else is on, TGL scratches the itch.

I threw $5 on LA when they were down 4-0. I thought they were on hole 11 but they were about to start 12. They won 12, won 13 with a hammer, won 14, tied 15 and won the overtime.   I feel like the +odds should have been greater but I’ll take the $70 win
