He wasn’t intended. But really who do I have to pick from?  It was him or profar I figured if snell was gone. And profar being gone was a blessing

I had already assumed Randy would not be a Ray this year  , despite his diminishing numbers I love the guy but Snell is far and away the top player on my draft eligible list. So I had already planned to be going SP/SP.  the bones never seem to be all that kind to me when it comes to trickle down effect. For example if Padres pick before me in round 1 and have access to Soto, or even just prefer Machado to Snell, I get Randy AND Snell...   I think a lot of the time its better to pick after the teams who share your top players so long as they have better options than your guys. 

Also kind of thought Fairbanks wouldn't be a 2nd/3rd rounder

Apologies for the delay. Crazy day at work and didn't have my list with me. And then I just couldn't decide what to do with my second pick. I'm hoping Hendricks bounces back to at least an 80-90% version of his former self.

Yikes. Yates was a bit of a fallback option for me after Fairbanks although I clearly never would have gotten him. Think it will be a great pick though

Question for commissioners. I was in the midst of editing my pick since I had just posted it, and did so but it looks like Raider picked almost simultaneously. Am I stuck with my first submission? I deleted the post with the edited pick

Don't have a great opinion this year. Can't remember precedent. Believe it's been if a pick is made the edit has to be made and called before any next pick. Not even just available or shared.

I believe that is the precedent.... I remember someone wanting to change a pick a few years ago and we determined that players eligibility didn't matter it was simply if another pick had been made after.   sounds like the picks were bang-bang? looking at the pick thread his pick was the last to be made

I happened to be in the thread when he first chose Manaea, then I saw RHR's post. Then as I scrolled back up dcd's pick for Manaea was gone. Then a minute or so later after I went back in to review the picks again because I was confused, the Manaea pick reappeared below RHR's. I don't know if that will help make a decision or not.

I think in the past we were good if they were quickly made and before another pick was made

This is correct. I made my pick of Manaea and immediately edited my pick to _________. After editing I saw that Raider had already made a post. I deleted mine and posted the original pick again. I probably should have edited it back.

It's not a big deal if it can't be changed. I wasn't even going to say anything because I did not expect a pick to be made as I was editing.

I mean, if no one else has picked yet and all you are doing is opening up the opportunity for RHR to draft Manaea (the only other team that can draft him), I don't think it would matter that you make the edit. Then to be fair, RHR could adjust his before anyone else picks if he wants to pick Manaea. I'm not a commissioner though, so my vote really means nothing

makes sense... but again I would prefer cmh or GB make the call (i'm not really a commish anyway)

perhaps @RaiderHaters Revenge can review the situation and give his input...

Never really was a commish but I'll weigh that since any pick was made before the delete or edit was made , and especially in this case where the exact player was picked, the original pick must stand. 

Holding further picks to wait doesn't make sense. Unless RHR had immediately noticed the edit and agreed to also allow and change his pick,  which they didn't.  Edit is null.

I had Manaea and pivetta as a coin toss. I’m fine with Pivetta 

I did see the Manaea pick but I was submitting Pivetta after Yates went

As I understood it he was switching his pick more or less right as RHR was submitting his own… and swapping it to a player not draft able by RHR… meaning a move away from Manaea could only help RHR… but it sounds like RHR was making his pick regardless

But I see what GB is saying and think that is probably logical

this brought up an interesting thought, I had Manaea on my list, my rank that round was Wacha-Boegarts-Yates-Pivetta-Manaea, so me picking early of Darvish, gave him too much insight and opportunity, I won't be posting so far in advance in the future

he now had an advantage to not take Manaea til the 5th

I have no clue who that could be that I could also draft, there are a few guys that played with us and you but not any really on my radar, just being honest

No, I was saying my first entered pick was Manaea, who you could draft. But the player I edited to is not someone you can pick. Also for what it’s worth I did not realize you made any selection until after I made the edit, which is why I changed it back and I also did not see you already picked in round 4 until just reading your post about it here. Like I said earlier, it’s all good.

Unfortunately, Fairbanks was my fallback option after Eovaldi was taken at 2.05.  Happy to swap those picks if you'd like!

Ultimately this is a self governing crew. We've never really had any issues once Edjr was done. Dude is cool in person but his online persona especially on ff forums is something... "unique". We generally can come to a consensus and should just rely on practicality of what we've learned in past years.

I didn’t think we had any sort of timer in this draft, especially with how unique it is with picks being made well in advance…. But lambert is on a golf trip in Florida
