Maximum Overkill 1,740 Posted April 9 Silently, Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly negotiating for Tyreek Hill https://www.marca.com/en/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/2025/04/08/67f579f746163f00298b456c.html
weepaws 3,157 Posted April 9 He’s getting good at covering things up. The Eagles, mmm home of brotherly blood might not be a good city for him.

ICEMAN 41 Posted April 10 I just heard that Philly is working the backchannels for a deal that would land him. This begs three questions. #1 - Are they crazy? #2 - What percentage of the salary cap would Philly be paying it's WR's if this trade were to happen? #3 - Does Philly have a different cap number than all of the other teams? ICEMAN I read a couple stories like that. Most likely from the Tyreek camp because Howie Roseman would NEVER bring in Tyreek, especially with AJ Brown there. They'd end up killing each other. I believe it's fake News.

ICEMAN Thinking and typing on the fly.... #1 - It's low risk for a high reward player, so why not? #2 - They're only on the hook for his base pay, because Miami takes the cap hit on the bonus money. The Eagles would be on the hook next year for any incentives or roster bonus'. I believe Hill's pay this year is only $10M. They can either cut or trade him in the off-season next year and not deal with the $30M hit. I'd do that. Why not? #3 - The Eagles keep kicking the can down the road. They're bigger contracts are always backloaded in base pay so that they can convert that to bonus money and stretch it out longer... or, just cut or trade the player before they have to pay that big number. It's the same thing that the Patriots used to do... trade a guy a year too early instead of a year too late. That way you never have to pay that big number. ICEMAN I think the only way this is feasable is if a certain amount of the contract/cap hit is eaten by the phins. If the phins cut bait..... I honestly cant see them doing this unless there are other problems we do not know about. (which is always possible)
