TBayXXXVII 2,487 Posted May 1 As per Doug's comments, I agree with Doug on virtually everything he's said about the Bucs WR situation and Egbuka being a WR5... but I wouldn't wait that long (WR5 territory), to draft him. As Doug notes, Evans is 32 and Godwin is coming off an injury, but it's a little more than just that. The last 2 seasons, Evans has been under an 80% snap share. He's probahly good for at least 2 missed games. Godwin has been hurt in 5 of the last 6 seasons and finished the season on IR in 3. McMillan had an injury history in college while missing games in all but his final season, and then missed games last year. If Egbuka picks up the offense well enough, he could produce like a WR3 and have stretches/games/situations (multiple injured players), where he could be a WR2 or even WR1 in a given week. Come seasons end (playoff stretch/run), he could be the Bucs WR2 a fantasy starter.

Possible next year, yeah. Godwin could get traded, but it's not happening this year because they literally just gave him a new deal about a month and a half ago.

I'm not sure how those guys have jobs. most of us could do better analysis.

Kiper took this huge leap and anointed him the 1.01, best QB ever pretty much, which was totally ridiculous. But it wasn't just him, the media played right into it and hyped him up like he was the next Manning. He should of been a second round QB but his attitude and character dropped him to the 5th. If Kiper was a true analyst he would of seen this coming a mile away.

He also said that Patrick Mahomes wasn't an NFL QB and that Johnny Manziel was a generational talent. This tops it all though. His crying and defending of Sheduer the entire draft was pathetic. If Kiper was a true analyst he would of seen this coming a mile away. well, earlier, I posted (on another thread I think) that I felt he was likely a 2nd round talent. needs to fall into the right situation to succeed at the NFL. I think the browns have a decent O line, so he does have a chance here, but it is also the browns...... either way I still believe that. based on what I saw, he should have been a 2nd round pick. (give or take) if the team feels the intangibles are there, players like that sometimes go in the first. but I didnt see a franchise player. I saw a max upside that makes him an average, to above average NFL QB if he achieves his full potential. I do not see a game breaking, game changing player. and from the sound of it, the intangibles were not there, so he slid in the draft. Thats all this is. hes still a decent prospect. a great prospect for where he was actually drafted. but I wouldnt pay a first for him.
rotisserieking 56 Posted May 5 My dumb brain is struggling with this. Can someone 'splain to me why the Eagles traded with the Chiefs to go from #32 to #31 to grab a player that clearly the Chiefs were no targeting? Or were they really worried their guy was going to go at 31? I just can't make sense of this one.

It was just them blocking anyone.
