I never understood why the networks would want Dallas for primetime games.  The bulk of the fans turn the game off at halftime.  :dunno:

Ive always thought it was weird to put premiere games on a holiday or even like week 1.  People are going to watch regardless.  Cowboys Chiefs is big viewership.  To put it on Thanksgiving when everyone who watches football on that day will anyway....seems not value.

I could be wrong but always what I thought.

If you're not tired of the Chiefs yet you will be soon.  5 prime time games in the first 8 weeks not counting week 2 super bowl rematch

Yup, agreed.  I mean, the teams have to be good, but they yeah, you don't need Dallas/KC.  If it were Cincinnati/Baltimore W1 on that first Friday, everyone is watching, just like it being KC/LAC.

A lot of teams get 5, apparently that's the most allowed.  There used to be a rule that every team needed at least 1 prime time game, but I'm not sure that's the case anymore.  Last year, Tampa had 4.

The speculation is suggesting the Chiefs are going to have more than 5.

W3: Chiefs at Giants (SNF)

W4: Ravens at Chiefs (4:25)

W5: Chiefs at Jaguars (MNF)

W6: Lions at Chiefs (SNF)

W7: Raiders at Chiefs

W8: Commanders at Chiefs (MNF)

W9: Chiefs at Bills (4:25)

W10: BYE

W11: Chiefs at Broncos

W12: Colts at Chiefs

W13: Chiefs at Cowboys (Thanksgiving Day)

W14: Texans at Chiefs (SNF)

W15: Chargers at Chiefs (TBD)

W16: Chiefs at Titans (TBD)

W17: Broncos at Chiefs (Christmas Night)

W18: Chiefs at Raiders (TBD)

I don't think that's allowed in the CBA.  There could've been an update to that though, that I did not hear.

I just looked, the number is now 6.  At least half the league will have at least 4.

I count 8 assuming this is correct and unless the holidays don't count with what you're saying :dunno:

I think speculation is being overly speculative.  Last year, there was 113 "Prime Time" games.  No team got more than 6... KC wasn't one of them.  I doubt they're getting more than 6 this year... especially since it's apparently not allowed.  To note, that's when the schedule is released.  Teams can get more if they're flexed in.

I count:

3 - MNF

2 - SNF

1 - Turkey Day

1 - Christmas Day

1 - YouTube (Fri. Night)

4 - 3:25 likely national broadcasts

plenty of opportunity for all ya'll to catch some Chiefs this year :headbanger:

Not sure how they got 7.  Seems it's against the rules.  All those games just mean more times people can see how overrated they'll be. 😉

Tampa has 4... I'd prefer 0.  I like 1 pm games.  Makes Sunday more enjoyable.

I like prime time as a season ticket holder as it makes my tickets more valuable.   Holiday home games blow.

Was reading a review of the schedule and came across this one.

Worst Thursday night matchup: Jets at Patriots, Week 11

I think the schedule makers were giving fans a bye week.
