Look we’ve had these arguments many times before, you guys know my position, I know yours. No point in trying to tell me they’re all criminals like @WhiteWonder just did. I don’t agree, I’m never going to agree so there you go.

Most of you here have what I regard as the MAGA position on this issue, I don’t believe you represent the majority. I think the majority voted for you guys because Biden appeared to be out of control in the other direction and most people DO want some control on our borders. But not mass deportation of non-violent people. Anyhow we will find out in future elections.

I've had the same position on illegal immigration since I was in my late teens. Well before maga was even a thing. We all did. It's not a maga issue. It's a conservative position And overwhelmingly so.

lie.

A NBC News Decision Desk Poll released June 15, conducted along with SurveyMonkey, found that 45% of Americans approve of the way Trump is handling his job as president, while 55% disapprove. Those figures remain unchanged from an NBC News survey in April. (The survey was conducted among 19,410 adults nationwide between May 30 and June 10. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.1 percentage points.)

According to the survey, 51% of Americans approve of Trump’s handling of border security and immigration, while 49% disapprove, the exception to his negative overall rating.

The NBC News poll, which was conducted from May 30 to June 10, shows a slight majority of U.S. adults approving of how Trump is handling “border security and immigration.”

That same poll, conducted as the situation in Los Angeles deteriorated and Trump federalized the National Guard, shows Trump’s net approval on immigration shrinking to plus-4 (49 percent to 45 percent).

A recent Quinnipiac poll, also conducted as the protests in Los Angeles began in earnest, shows Trump’s approval on immigration actually underwater, with just 43 percent of registered voters approving, versus a majority (54 percent) disapproving.

None on what you posted is relevant to what my post was in response to.  Other than that, good job banned alias.

I like the way liberals act as if all agricultural work is performed by illegals and not any here on a work visa.

The Democrats still want their slaves and, like last time, they're going to fight to the bitter end to keep them.

I don’t necessarily have any problem with mass deportation of illegals. No exceptions for agricultural workers, construction, hospitality etc. Good luck getting prices down.

It’s the deporting of legal migrants to prisons in a country they’re not even from and cancelling visas of students who hold opinions you don’t like that I have a problem with.

:dunno:

This.  So is this what’s happening with the people that went to South Sudan?  I wouldn’t have a problem with simply deporting them there (and then they could go somewhere else if they chose), but cooperating with these countries to put them in prison there can’t be constitutional (and the Abrego Garcia situation confirmed we’re not helpless once they get to these other countries).   Looks like the people that went to South Sudan are criminals convicted of things other than being here illegally (unlike Abrego Garcia), but some of them had completed their sentences, they shouldn’t be put back in prison.
