MDC 7,825 Posted August 19 Thought there was a thread about this but I couldn’t find it. Overall, pretty good. The first hour or so had some rapid fire laughs and a couple really good sequences with a Turkey baster and a snowman. My son (13) was rolling. It sort of petered out at the end and the last 30 minutes were a chore. 3/5, good for younger teens and family movie.

A couple of the last ones we saw were "Ballerina" and the last Mission Impossible. Only because those types of movies you almost HAVE to see in the theater. PLUS....if they don't do well in the theater, they will be streaming in like a month or less anyways.

There are definitely some movies that SHOULD be better in a theater than in mine, mainly because I only have a 77" screen. But my sound blows away most theaters. We went to see Maverick in an IMAX theater and then saw it at home a couple months later and both agreed it was much better at home. That shouldn't have been the case but makes me hesitant to spend a bunch of money to go watch it in the theater instead of waiting a month or three to just watch it at home. I don't have the need to see movies as soon as they come out like I did when I was younger.
thegeneral 3,548 Posted August 19 I still remember seeing the first one in a crowded theater opening weekend back in High School. I laughed so hard it hurt multiple times. Full house def helps with comedies.
