Maybe I missed it but did you bring up any of these concerns earlier in the thread when MAGA was trying to claim it was primarily about drugs?   I mostly just think it’s funny how quickly MAGA is willing to eat up their new talking points.   But, at least you realize that it’s not primarily about drugs.  And also realize that “war” with Venezuela is a real possibility.  Kinda funny that @Meglamaniac still seems to think it isn’t.  Of course he may think it’s only war if we declare war, in which case he thinks we haven’t been in a war since WWII.  But we’ll probably never know as he’s apparently allergic to opinions.

It doesn't matter WHEN I brought it up WHAT MATTERS is that YOU keep avoiding the valid points I've made.......AGAIN.  But he said! But he said! But he said! I have broken records that play better than you. You always push a different view but never accept one.....AGAIN & AGAIN & AGAIN.

Honestly, no, I don’t think it’s a valid point that Russia or China “establishing a military presence” in Venezuela is somehow more dangerous than from various other possible places, considering a flight from there is at minimum 3 hours to the closest part of the US.  And of course our Department of War has made it pretty clear that we’re willing to blow up anything coming from that direction before it even gets very close to America

But sure, if someone is going to get their oil, it might as well be us.
