Dan Campbell sucks. Costs his team time and time again

I watched a fair amount of the game. What did he do this time?

Trick play from the 2 on 3rd down early in the game. Didn't know the rules. Cost his team 4 points.

Went for it on 4th down from inside the 40 twice and didnt get it.

That is what I can remember

If you mean the pass to Goff it worked, just got called back for illegal motion. I guess you can question that one.

Detroit had 2 turnover on downs: 4th and 2 from KC’s 44 in Q2 and 4th and 1 from their one 36 just before the 2-minute warming when they were down 30-17.

Did I miss one? Both of those were the right call.

I don’t watch a lot of KC games but of course hear all the chatter - about the refs and non calls etc. saw a YT reel at like 4:00AM so details aren’t specific but a blatant hold late mid field middle of the screen. A Kelce hold sideline top of screen. Both non calls. A KC catch that clearly hit the ground first - called a catch. Lastly a TD for Lions called back for phantom hold (not the in motion play Edger referenced).

On the Kelce catch, the Chiefs got up to the line quick before the Lions had a chance to see the replay and throw the flag.  I thought the ball looked like it moved when it hit the ground, but the analyst announcer acted like it would have stood.  regardless, the Lions didn't get off the field in time and had an offsides penalty and the Chiefs got the first down on the subsequent play anyway.  Lions could have challenged :dunno:

I also think you can cherry pick your calls, and the refs aren't going to see everything on every play.  I could find some missed calls on the other end as well, if I wanted to take the time to do so

He makes 3 mill a year through 2028 unless he takes another HC job.

He was a very good OC. I wouldn't be shocked if someone hired him.

I didn't want to say anything about the officiating because my team was involved, but I'm glad impartial people noticed.

The Chiefs are a quality team and caught the Lions at a fortuitous time but that's the breaks. We learned last year that home field doesn't mean much and you have to be healthy come playoff time.

Chiefs still aren't at full strength.   Josh Simmons didn't play and the backup LT signed in the offseason played a great game.  Worthy has been hurt and Rice has yet to play.   They still haven't hit their ceiling IMO.  But it also sounds like the Lions will look like a different football team come December.   Health (and luck) are still really important factors

Next week, Tampa gets to play us still without any CBs, with Branch, suspended and Kirby Joseph shouldn't have been out there against KC anyways, so when he got dinged up, and it looked serious, it was a real gut check time.

We may or may not get two other Pro Bowl caliber players back who didn't play vs the Chiefs in Alim McNeil and Tyler Decker (Alim was a lock for the Pro Bowl before getting hurt last year, whereas Decker already has the designation).

All these injuries are short term fortunately, even Marcus Davenport's is "short term." In Davenport's case, the day Davenport is taken off of IR he'll trip getting off the team bus and miss another three weeks, so he doesn't count. Bubblewrap the focker so he can get five or six snaps in during week one of the playoffs until another season ending injury kicks in.
