How long has Twitter been around? Just a few mayoral terms so what even is typical? Here’s what I was seeing that may have led to them archiving posts.

I'm... confused by your link.  Are you saying that Mamdani wouldn't want to be associated with supporting a Jewish state, defending itself, eliminating Hamas, and bringing every hostage home?  That seems to defend my point that he's not a friend of the Jews.

They didn’t want his face attached to posts made by Eric Adams. Period. You seem to have focused on the one tweet and not the whole thread which had lots of people saying they should archive the old posts to avoid confusion.

That's the only post in your link.  And the text I listed was in that post immediately after your tweeter said the following:
