**** Happy Football Day Week 17****

True enough. On the other side, Hurts was throwing it out of bounds every other play. Below 50% completion percentage, 110 yds.

Not a good day for other QB. But pretty nice if you like defensive battles…

The refs did everything they could to give Allen the win. The non-calls were ridiculous.

Terrible showing for Hurts

The Eagles gave them that game, Allen couldn't finish. His NFL life story

I'm concerned.

Way before the TD I joked “TD go for 2”escape with win. I JOKED. When they were all in on going for it I was like WTF - You gotta go for the tie. Iggles had no offense at that point - see above- if the ball was thrown a yard to his right it would of been a different conversation

I think you’d be right… IF the Bills kicker wasn’t some guy they hired off a kicking contest in the stadium parking lot.

Not their fault that they lost 2 kickers to injury, but there had to be somebody better available… right?

I dont get all the gripe with going for 2.  Hindsight sure is 20/20.

Not to mention it was there and Allen just missed the throw.

#metoo. But the Eagles just beat the Bills in Buffalo in a game that meant way more to them than us.

Agreed. A play like that is “genius!!!” If it works and “what an idiot!” If it doesn’t. Defense was tired, offense was on a roll… based on momentum alone, McD had to feel pretty good about that call.

Here’s hoping for a rematch in the Super Bowl!

I’d like that. If Philly doesn’t go back I’d be rooting for BUF.

Nothing but respect for the beat down you put on Mahomes last season

It could go either way but its not insane to just go for 2.  I understand Eagles offense was stalled out all 2nd half, but does that mean they are incapable of making a play in OT?

Bills just got back into a game they were doing nothing in.  Had some momentum finally.  Their QB had a bum wheel.  Their kicker hit a kick so bad earlier that was blocked.  Missed an extra point last week.  Everyone is soaked playing in freezing rain all game.

Its 2 yards to win the game.  With a QB like Allen, with the leading rusher at RB.  Doesnt seem like worse odds picking up 2 yards than it would be sending it into OT and seeing what happens.  (With said crappy kicker that would be a liability to make any length kick in OT to win)

Side note - consolidation- with nothing to play for next week Bills can rest some players. Much needed rest.

Still gotta beat the Jets to close the stadium.   But Trubs should be able to do that.  Jets dont want to win.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great win. But this offense isn't going to carry them far when they go against a juggernaut offense like Seattle, Niners or the Rams.

They need to figure it out and fast, it's a problem.

The O may very well be the reason they’re one and done. On the other hand, there isn’t a team that I think the Eagles can’t beat. I’m just going to enjoy the ride.

You're probably right, i hope.

They had no business winning that game yesterday. Another performance like that will certainly have them 1 and done.

It was a stupid play. You’re putting the whole game on one play , in a game that you are in control of.  Play the odds. McDermott is another coach that wants credit for making the ballsy call. It doesn’t appear he does much else.

I agree. Buffalo would of won that game if it went to OT. Philly couldn't do anything offense.

But how was it a stupid play when it was there and your franchise QB just happens to miss?  Put whole game on a play?  I mean if you are down 13-0 much of the game, you wouldnt take 2 yards to win the game?

Again, QB has a bum wheel.  You basically have no kicker to make a 46 yarder to win in OT even if you force a 3 and out from Philly.

Im having a hard time underatanding the weighing of these things from your perspective?  2 yards is way too tough but marching down in OT on a long drive was a foregone conclusion?

Billd coukdnt do anything on offense in first half.  So did that mean they just couldnt thr whole 2nd half?

Ok Philly gets ball.  Bills force a 3 and out.  Get it on 35.  March a couple first downs and have 4th and 5 or ab46 yarder in wind and feezing rain with a bad kicker who cant make an XP.  Is that concrete?

So Bills march and score in OT but 2 yards is to win is too much?  What logic are we using.  You guys act like Bills lit it up on offense.  They had like 2 miraculous downfield catches they dodnt ever hit.  Had some calls.  And took all of regulation to put up 12 pts.   A QB who is playing poorly, who is also hurt.  But its a foregone conclusion Bills score in OT?  What logic is this?

I wonder what the narrative would be today if Hurts fumbled the ball 30 yards backwards, took a 20+ yard sack, and missed a wide open receiver on the 2-point try.

The narrative doesn't change. Hurts was terrible, he just happened to dodge a bullet.

I bet he’s taking more grief today than Allen.

DEI?

Allen doesn't have any WRs. Hurts has nothing but weapons. Allen has an excuse, Hurts has none.

Put Allen on the Eagles and they'd have 4 Superbowls by now.

Would you take Hurts over Allen? No way you would.

Heard an interesting thing on the radio before the game. Rams had extra incentive to win. Rams own Falcons first pick so obviously Rams want Atlanta to lose out.

Oh well that didn’t work. LOL
