No I don't think having less security at the border helped.  We can agree that Biden's actions probably helped, and are likely reflected in the trend of lower deaths.

I’ll agree to that. But his prior actions let it get out of control.  I’m not giving him credit for cleaning his room after he messed it up.

Actually if you believe in data, ODs started to spike in 2020, before Biden ever took office and started to decline in 2023.
