Tarheel Boy 0 Posted June 9, 2002 Type of League: Redraft 16 Teams, 2 or 4 divisions depending on what the website we choose allows. Scoring: 1.) Basic Performance League 1 pt. every 10 yds rushing/rec 1 pt. every 25 yds. passing 6 pts. every rushing/receiving TD 4 pts. every passing TD 1 pt. every reception -2 every INT/fumble lost 6 pts. for all Special Team/Defensive TD's 1 pt. for every sack 2 pts. for every INT/Fumble Recovery 2 pts. every safety 2 pts. every blocked kick 3 pts. every FG 1 pt. for every Extra Point Note: For all special team/defensive TD's, the TEAM gets credit for the TD and not individual players. In other words, if the Rams FG unit fakes a FG and Kurt Warner is the holder and he throws a TD, the special Teams gets the TD and not Warner. If you have a doubt as to the scoring, don't because the defense or special teams gets the TD. Draft: The draft will be serpentine and will consist of 16 rounds. If you think you're going to be gone for a while, please send a lengthy list to one or two people so they can pick for you. Rosters must consist of the following players. You must have the minimum number of players at each position but can have more, obviously. 2 QB's 4 RB's 4 WR's 1 TE 1 PK 1 Def Starting Lineup will be the following: 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 PK 1 Def There will be NO flex positions. General Rules: 1. Lineups are due one hour prior to the 1st game of the week. There will be an exception when there are Thursday/Saturday games and in those cases, only players involved in those games must be submitted and the remaining rosters due by the normal deadline. 2. The playoffs will consist of 4 Teams, the top 4 teams in the league. Unfortunately Yahoo does not allow for divisions. 3 In the event there is a tie for the division title or a wildcard sport, the tiebreaker will be as follows: 1.) Head to head record 2.) Total points In the event there is a tie in one of the playoff games, the tie will be broken in the same manner as the tie breaker stated above: 1.) Head to head 2.) Total Points 3.) Division Record 3.) Free Agents: FA will be available based on team records. In other words, the team with the overall worst record every week will have first pick of the FA's. In the event of a tie for the worst record, the tie breaker will be the same as above but instead of the team that wins the head to head, it will be the team that lost the head to head or the team with the fewest total points, or the team with the worst division record. 4.) Trades - Trades will require majority approval from league members. Everyone will have 48 hours to vote and after the time limit expires and you haven't voted, your vote will automatically be a yes vote. Trades must be proposed no later than 48 hours before the first game of the week. These are the rules we have so far. If I, or anyone else thinks of something to add then please do so in this thread. Question. Does this mean we HAVE to draft 4 running backs or else our roster is illegal?

I'm trying to make sure no one loads up at one position. Not saying that would happen here but I've seen it happen where someone tried to collect as many at a position as possible. Like I said though, if someone doesn't like a rule we can revise them if necessary. We have two weeks to discuss.

Mark Buffington 3 Posted July 9, 2002 Note: For all special team/defensive TD's, the TEAM gets credit for the TD and not individual players. If you have a doubt as to the scoring, don't because the defense or special teams gets the TD. I think if you want to get into a free league hosting site, you will need to relax this rule. I don't YAHOO!'s scoring systme being flexible enough to allow ONLY a team score and NOT a player on MY, I mean someone's roster. JMHO, jackakass!
Tarheel Boy 0 Posted July 17, 2002 One rule I forgot to add. The trading deadline will be November 8, 2002 that gives us the 48 hour window before the games start that week.
Tarheel Boy 0 Posted July 17, 2002 One other thing. Since we have 16 teams, we'll have the same format as last year. 8 playoff teams and four - 4 team divisions.

It won't be the best player available so if you think you're going to be gone you better send a lengthy list to one or two people so they can pick for you. Since I don't have internet access at work, someone will have to monitor the draft for me. Once I know for sure who all is going to be in the league, I'll appoint someone to help. TB, appoint someone (me) tonight so if this continues tomorrow we can just move ahead as per the rules. [ 07-25-2002: Message edited by: OB1 ]

Seriously, by the time round 12 comes around you'll be looking at a backup's backup and thinking it's great value. Don't expect much to be left in the FA pool in a 16 team league.
