Kent 228 Posted August 1, 2014 Anyone know who the primary pass catching TE is for the Falcons now? Are they going to make any effort to replace Gonzalez?

PackYourNut 47 Posted August 1, 2014 No, there TE will be an afterthought this year.
ralphster 274 Posted August 1, 2014 Levine Toliiolio. The big lug can't run but he's a good redzone target. Similar to the young TE in DET who caught 7 TDs last year. Ultimately I think ATL goes away from the TE position and into more 3 wide sets putting Douglass on the field instead of relying on the TE like they did when Gonzo was around. I still think Tony G might come back though; if ATL is 6-2 at the midpoint I predict Tony will unretired and put on the pads for a stretch run.
Kent 228 Posted August 1, 2014 Harry douglas Interesting. Someone has to catch those extra balls. The issue is, what other top offense has no real TE option? Maybe Green Bay.
WhiteWonder 2,172 Posted August 1, 2014 Good offenses with no te? Cincy, Philly last year. I know those teams have young guys in place but not studs. Kc, detroit
dehaven123 31 Posted August 1, 2014 Harry douglas this. i read something about it. Atl will be in 3wide sets. TE will be inline blocker this yr. DND.
Mike FF Today 608 Posted August 1, 2014 Here's what our own Jake Gordon wrote about Toilolo recently, which I tend to agree with... "Tony Gonzalez leaves some rather large shoes to fill and fantasy owners need to do what the Falcons have done: Move on and look elsewhere for offensive output. A fourth-round pick in 2013, Levine Toilolo is expected to be a more traditional blocking tight end that won’t have much fantasy value this year. He will likely find a way to notch a score or three in red zone packages, but he won’t be a reliable enough source of fantasy production to be anything more than a desperation play in deep formats." The Falcons are expected to use three wide receivers as their base formation this year now that Tony G. is gone. I'd look elsewhere for your TE2.
Flgatorguy87 160 Posted August 1, 2014 Injury prone Julio and old man Roddy makes Harry a sleepy guy.
jaxjag 43 Posted August 2, 2014 Anyone know who the primary pass catching TE is for the Falcons now? Are they going to make any effort to replace Gonzalez? Huge difference between having a TE and having the "new Tony Gonzalez".. Like most here I don't see the Falcon TE having much fantasy value.
