Bills04 46 Posted November 25, 2017 I've got Ertz, who has been one of my best 9th round picks ever! But - he did very little last week, first week back from an injury. Speaking of injuries - I was able to grab CAR TE G. Olsen off of the waiver-wire, and he is Active this week. Ertz has a tough matchup against CHI DEF, a Top-5 pass defense against TEs. Olsen is going up against a soft NYG pass defense, bottom-10 against TEs. And, with no Kelvin Benjamin, nor C. Samuels, he should be a part of the passing game immediately. SpenceToons 70 Posted November 25, 2017 If your alternate is as good as the proven Greg Olsen, I wouldn't begrudge anybody playing him while you wait for Ertz to prove himself to you that he's back. However, it's just one week of sub par production (wk11) that he's shown us and he was still tied for 2nd in team targets with 5. But with two great TEs, the answer boils down to the matchup and Olsen goes up against the 8th most generous to TEs NYJ (not NYG) while Ertz faces the stingier CHI at only the 26th most generous. CHI hasn't allowed any TE to reach 9 FPs over their last 4 games while NYJ gave up a big game to Gronkowski in wk6. One caveat:is the following quote from Rich Hribar: "players that have recently returned from Olsen’s injury –Julian Edelman, Dez Bryant-- have taken time to get back on track once active" Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
mookie86mets 8 Posted November 25, 2017 I wouldn't sit Ertz for Olsen. Ertz was on the field for over 90 % of the snaps. It seems like game flow dictated his poor production. Do you have a flex spot? If so, what are your options. Maybe start both. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
