Culpepper dropped... worth getting?

Recommended Posts

One team dropped Dante in my league, (he has Palmer and Pennington.) dropped Dante to get Betts (he's got Portis.)

My QBs are Bulger and Eli. The rest of my team is in my sig. Am I just bein greedy? or would it be worth pickin him up? who to drop if so?

RB question: I just traded away Maroney for McGahee... I've still got Dillon. Should I hang onto him as a 2nd backup or try to trade him? If trade, what position should I look to improve on?

Also, a WR question. Has Eddie Kennison's value completely tanked with the loss of Green however long he'll be out for? Should I drop him and pick up somebody like: Reggie Williams, Jerricho Crochery, Troy Brown, Marty Booker, Antwaan Randle El? (all available on FA)

link me!

EDIT:

a new twist to this question:

Chargers Defense is free for the taking. They look like a great play against the titans this week? should i drop kennison for them (guarenteed to get them) then put the waiver for Culpepper in for maybe New England DEF? would it be worth holding onto NE because of their easy schedule?

decisions decisions.

i'm thinking if i'm gonna drop anyone it'd be kennison. his value couldn't be lower right now. i need colston because Gonzo is going on bye next week and I can play colston in the TE spot since on yahoo he's listed as WR/TE.

w/only 8 or 10 QB's playing each week in ur league, it's awful tough to maintain 3 on your roster, so if you pick him up, you're doing it w/the intention to trade w/someone in particular. is there someone in your league that will give you good value for eli or bulger? if so you can probably improve more by dropping kennison, picking up c-pepp, and trading away one of your starters. c-pepp also has a creampuff schedule for the next 3 so he'll likely have nice value by week 5. (altho i wouldn't hold on to 3 QB's for that long, just too much other stuff you can be doing w/that roster space.)

and i'm in the minority of folks that think cpepp's week 1 wasn't discouraging at all. he got off a lot of good short passes off w/huge amounts of pressure and made his misplays when in catch-up mode. if he had hit chambers on the 1 easy pass he missed nobody would be selling him so short.

Drop Kennison for Culpepper.

I don't really have any questions, but now that I think about it, I just traded Randy Moss and Marc Bulger for Terrell Owens and Drew Bledsoe - what do you think of that? See my sig for my roster.

And one more quick question, I really would like to add Colston to my lineup due to his tight end eligibility, but I just can't convince myself to let anyone go on my roster - what would you do? Note: Ben Watson has his bye week 6.

I'll check back.

Note: please, no one else respond to my questions as I don't want to divert attention from his question. What do you think, should he pick up Culpepper? and if so, who should he drop?

THANKS!

Go with the Qb you have right now Culpeper is inconsistent righ now. Although he should be good again by mid season or later is what I think. I'd pick up Antwaan. For Dillon keep him

hey geppeto. I don't like your trade. you're basically relying on Bledsoe for points at two positions. Bulger is a better QB and in a better situation than Bledsoe. Moss had one down week. Him and T.O. are pretty even. In order to get colston... get rid of the fabulously unimpressive Wali Lundy. Let somebody else deal with the mess that is the Texans RBBC. (they just aquired Samkon Gado to add another body to that mix.)

thanks for your thoughts on mine. Anybody else have ideas on what to do about CPep, Dillon and Kennison?

I'd drop Kennison for C-pep. Then I'd trade Bulger or maybe a combo of Bulger and Dillon.

:dunno:

I agree.

Culpepper just looked bad because of the good defense he was up against.

he'll probably have another soft week this week, and then you'll see him start to perform.

i'll re-iterate... i'm not dropping colston. he's listed as a WR/TE in my yahoo leauge, so I am planning on using him next week as a TE to fill in for Gonzo on bye. He's the #2 WR in NO behind horn.

I'd grab Culpepper in a NY--oops, Miami--minute and drop Kennison. Culpepper's upside is far greater than Kennison's. I also like Cotchery--last week he was targeted 12 times, caught 6, had a TD, and a second TD called back due to a flag, although based upon your roster it looks like you'll have to wait until after Colston plays before you could drop him to get Cotchery (assuming he keeps producing the next couple of weeks).

with your qb's i wouldn't pick up Dante unless u know some homer in the league will trade you value for him.

Dillon is a good 2nd option, or you can trade him to the guy u gave marouney to.

thanks for answering mine.

I'd pick him up and then try to trade Bulger after he lights up SF this week. Eli will be a good #1 QB all year and BUlger tends to get banged up. Eli likely has a little more value then Bulger for trade bait but Bulger can still get you a nice #2 WR or a mid level RB.

I like Cpep and drop Kennison. Keep NE as Chargers have a bye week 3 and you will need a replacement soon. If they are still there after week 3 than I would drop Colston for the Chargers and keep both DT's. I like to keep to DT's (if possible) to play the matchups.

Some help when you get a chance. Thanks! http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233454

I would without a doubt pick up Culpepper...I love the deep threat of him to Chambers I think that combo will put up some huge games once Culpepper gets back to game speed 100%..He looked shaky at times in WK 1 but it was against a good D and first game back from injury..And oh yeah Id say drop Kennison, your other WR are great and with Green out he doesnt have much value.

Whoa, pick up Culpepper and the Chargers D for sure. I say drop Kennison (you could probably always get him back off waivers since no one seems to want him right now) and trade Dillon and Bulger for the best two-for-one trade you can pull off. With those two being solid options each week, you should be able to bring in a stud in return, free up an extra roster spot, drop Kennison and pick up C-pepp and the Chargers D, who I think might just be the #1 Fantasy defense this year. Good luck.

If you get a minute, help me out. Thanks in advance Lefty.

Drop Colston for Culpepper.

Kennison will get his, be patient with him.. might have to wait for Green to get back but maybe not.

I'd grab the SD def and drop the NE def after week 3 if they're still around.
