NAn 39 Posted June 14, 2007 To prepare FFTodayers for the upcoming ’07 season, starting 5/14 will post threads listing offensive players by NFL team and invite posters to attach projections to each offensive player. Posting of just commentary on one or mutliple players, instead of projections is welcomed and encouraged as well. Will post 3 team threads per week (2 during 4th of July week) alphabetically by team city, so will have all 32 NFL teams posted before August 1st. Through beginning of FF season will hopefully have this thread pinned as an ‘Archives’ thread, so will have opportunity to post replies for any previous team at any time. Will team/offense/particular offensive players have ‘let down’ after SB win last year? not necessarily Will PManning continue to be an ‘Ironman’ at QB? i tend to think so Will JAddai improve in 2nd season? yes Who is DDorsey and what can we expect from him? you tell me Will HC TDungy really continue with RBBC, mixing in DDorsey? If so, how much? a little, but not. Kinda like Rhodes was used with Edge, maybe a little less How much does MHarrison have left? this is the year wayne truly takes over as No. 1. Marvin will still be productive, see Cris Carter at the tail end of his career Will (as has been predicted by some past 6 years) RWayne surpass MHarrison as WR1? yes
HeadlessChikun 0 Posted June 15, 2007 Colts offense will be steady and reliable like it has for the past several years. Manning still in top 3 ( 4200yds 30-35 tds) Addai will finish in top 7 ( 1300 rushing 350 recieving 15 TDS) Harrison and Wayne in top 8 (Harrison 1200-12 Wayne 1300-10) Dorsey wont have much fantasy impact ( 400-2tds) Gonzales I think will be pretty decent (700-7tds)
GobbleDog 1,017 Posted June 15, 2007 Manning - 4,100 yards, 30 TDs, 10 INTs. I actually wonder if the Colts will pass a little bit less this year simply because won't need to throw as often. The defense should be better. Addia - 1,300 rushing yards, 11 total TDs, 50 receptions. I'm nervous projecting too big of stats for Addia due to Dungy's commitment to some RBBC. Harrison - 85 rec, 1,150 yards, 12 TDs ........... Wayne - 90 rec, 1,250 yards, 9 TDs. Solid stats once again. It is interesting to note that Harrison is 34 and Wayne is 28. You gotta believe that eventually Harrison is going to start disapointing owners, but judging from last year he doesn't seem to have lost anything yet. NAn 39 Posted June 15, 2007 Solid takes, but to clarify: Peyton's 'usual' TDs is actually closer to 27-28 a season. Eclipsed 30+ only 3 of 10 seasons. Still, this is in an era when even the other top tier QBs are usually in the 24-25 range, so his usual is still better than most, just wanted to clarify his actual numbers v the 'perception' of his numbers. NAn 39 Posted June 16, 2007 His lifetime average is 32.0 total TDs per season. Yes, but that's adding in his record breaking year of 48 which does skew things a bit, plus adding rushing tds. And with the rush tds he's had several years of none and a couple with as much as 4, which is why I personally don't add in rush tds for qbs unless you're talking a Vick or Young. listen2me 23 1,964 Posted June 19, 2007 Harrison will still out perform Wayne. However, Wayne might be better value by picking him a round later.
Dan 66 Posted June 20, 2007 Harrison will still out perform Wayne. However, Wayne might be better value by picking him a round later. JUNE MOCK Harrison - 2.08 Wayne - 2.12 They are going in the same tier. Incidentally, I agree. Harrison still outperforms Wayne this year. But you'll have to stand by the pick, because people are all over the "year that Wayne catches Harrison." Peyton is still Peyton. You draft him as the #1 QB until he is no longer such. Addai is a solid 6-10 pick. Dungy will probably sprinkle in Dorsey, which will not be enough to give Dorsey any significant value, but will probably keep Addai from the top 4-5. Dallas Clark is a talented TE, and is a decent pickup because he's in Indianapolis, but is diminished because Utecht takes away catches. :-/ You end up with two TEs that are bye-week fillers at best. I don't get and never will get why people have so much man love for Wayne. He has had one double digit TD season in his career. He has had only one elite WR season. He has always had less coverage than Harrison and Manning throwing him the ball. I don't get it. The only argument people have for Wayne breaking out or outperforming Marvin is he is younger.
