bjlmonster 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Jordan is more of a sure bet to get carries and the Raiders seem to be a bit improved under Kiffen. A lot of Jordan's problems were Art Shell, who has NEVER coached a 100 yd rusher.
Savior57 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Thanks! Any other thoughts?
remote controller 143 Posted September 3, 2007 With Jones out, I'd start Bell easily over these two. I love Betts, but portis will at least make it part way through game one.

But I think you are right when you intimate that they should be better. I'd go Lamont.

Is Bell still injured?
Savior57 0 Posted September 3, 2007 I just checked the Info wires, and Tatum seems to be healthy. I think the Lions just rested him last game so he would be healthy for the opener.
bgard72 10 Posted September 3, 2007 I would give Lamont Jordan a try. He's lost 20lbs this offseason and he really looks impressive when I've seen him in preseason. I think he's out to prove something this year. I would definitely go with him here. Please take a look at mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=283756 Thanks and good luck! BearsFan69 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Jorden for sure, he might have a good bounce back season http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...p;#entry3259245
thebook 1 Posted September 3, 2007 I would go with Lamont. A nice match-up and he won't be pulled at the goal-line like Bell will be (for Duckett). Please Help Here
hooflungpoo 0 Posted September 3, 2007 i look for betts to make a splash in a couple of weeks, and jordan has alot to prove after last year's no-show.
mike06 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Id start tatum bell unless you hear that portis isnt playing. From what i hear theyre just resting him to be good to go week 1 and he will be the starter. If you know for sure hes not going to get feature carries start betts http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=283782
ggroovy17 0 Posted September 3, 2007 With Jones out, I'd start Bell easily over these two. I love Betts, but portis will at least make it part way through game one. This guy will be eating crow when Portis becomes a top 10 RB again. He probably drafted Betts in the 6th round thinking he'll be the primary ball carrier when all he will be is Portis' backup. Anyway, definitely go with Jordan.
bobpate17 0 Posted September 3, 2007 I would go with Betts. even if he split carries he will do better than Jordan. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=283786

This guy doesn't own Betts, but was a fan of his at Iowa. This guy really thinks Betts is a good fit for that offense. This guy truly thinks portis is a Pu$$. This guy thinks you bit off more than you can chew!!! When ya back up a Pu$$ you play!
gocolts 300 Posted September 3, 2007 I say Jordan here. He is going to get the most touches and thus, gives you the best chance to get FF points.

What makes you think he'll receive more touches then Bell? Just curious. Do you think the offense is better? Do you think the defense gets the offense the ball back quicker? Savior57 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Thanks for the great responses everybody!! You guys really blew me away with the suppoort on this one! Vote of confidence Tally on this one appears to be: Jordan 8 T. Bell 2 Betts 1 I usually read all the posts, look at the one's that made the best points and take those into consideration. But since you all were pretty sound and made good arguements, I'm just gonna go with the majority (Lamont) on this one. I would also like to say that I did answer everyone's posts that had a link posted. If I missed anyone's by mistake, please let me know by replying to this topic, and I be sure to reply. Thanks again!
MarkF150 0 Posted September 4, 2007 Jordan for sure, you know he will start. Portis is going to play week 1. All this knee crap is just to keep the other teams guessing. mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=283834

Yeah, and you probably drafted Portis in the 3RD thinking you pulled off the pick of the draft. Its funny...The guys that drafted Portis think they are all doctors and trainers and say that Portis is going to play all 16 games.Bottom line if you drafted Portis you better have drafted Betts too.
