it's been over a week and a half and we've got JUST 5 rounds in.

 

good news is LYC is due back from Hawaii this week(19th I think he said).

 

bad news is he's actually been damn good about making his picks(thanks for that LYC)it's been pure luck that has held us up.

 

1.we need to get a hold of luck and find out what's up...we can(and I strongly suggest)that we go to 1hour picks for him if we don't hear from him.

 

and if we don't hear from him what then?I trust you guys that he's solid but we all have real lives and things come up that are...can't believe I'm gonna say this...more important than FF.

Is he ok and will he still be able to play is what I'm asking.

 

2.Consider changing time limit...maybe even 12hours.

 

3.Consider a date that we can do LIVE picks and finish this puppy up...we were batting around Friday August 30th 7pm PST before we started the draft.

 

otherwise we'd have to do a round about every day and half...don't know if that's gonna happen.

I agree. We need to start getting down to business. I say 8 hour time limits on picks. If we keep it on MFL, it shouldn't be too hard to pre-draft players if you won't be available.

 

Also, if Pure Luck has a problem with his team, I don't think it would be that hard to get a substitute (if need be, of course).

I agree also. We had heard Pure Luck was having computer problems. Surely he would understand why Bob has made reasonable selections for him to speed things up. This draft might even be close to finishing if Pure Luck wasn't having any problems. If we drop the time limits to 8 hours, that would defintely speed things up quite a bit. LYC should be the only one that would really need an exception until he gets back.

 

As far as a live draft to finish this thing up, I'm game for that also, just need to all agree on a time and day. August 30th would probably be alright.

8 hours is too short, what if your pick came up suddenly during the night? I know a lot of people might sleep in or something like that, 12 hours is a better idea. So I vote go w/ 12 hours once LYC gets back, and if it's not looking like we'll finish, we'll all get online and finish it up.

With the predraft option there really isn't any reason to not go with an 8 hour time limit. I understand not wanting to predraft in the early rounds when you want to get a handle on how your tiers are going, et., however we are now into the 6th round.

 

As far as Pure Luck, I say have our commish draft for him until he gets back to us that he is here. If Soy uses a generic type of listing to make PL's picks, that should work. Its kinda obvious by now that MFL.com is a bit higher on QB's than most

 

The live date mentioned is fine with me... even if I can't make it, by that point in the draft i would predraft the remaining picks.

Pure Luck is a good friend of mine. I haven't talked to him since I was in Hawaii. I'll talk to him soon. He'll participate. He hasn't responded in another league we're in together too. I'll find out what's going on . . .
