Warren Moon 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Just excited to be talking football again. Here is my first shot this year. RBs 1. LJ - Don't expect Priest back, and he beat LT last year in a partial season. 2. SA - Lead the league the last 2 years. Got his money, will he be the same? Guaranteed Top 5 3. LT - Always great. How good/bad will Rivers be? 4. Edge - He won't take a job in a bad running situation. 5. Tiki - I pass on him every year, and then get pissed when he goes off. Giants will be better, his numbers will be the same QBs 1. Peyton - I expect him to bounce back from his 3rd place finish last year. With no Edge, more throwing needed. 2. Kurt Warner - I think I could throw for 30 TDs with those receivers. 3. Palmer - Should get off to a slow start with the knee, but there is nobody else to put here. 4. Eli - Impressive at times last year, showing all of the signs of developing into the 2nd best manning. 5. Kitna (Lions) - If they are smart enough to sign somebody not named Joey, Martz will make a star out 'em. WR 1. Steve Smith - I'm finally a believer after watching a few of his games last year. 2. Chad Johnson - Starting to signs of being a TO, but right now he is just damn funny. 3. Torry Holt - Had to keep some of the old guard in here. I think he will actually benefit from Martz leaving. Linehan knew how to get the ball to Moss in Minny. Should do the same for Holt. 4. Fitzgerald - Turning into a stud early in his career. 5. Roy - How can a Martz led offense not have a top 5 receiver? (Note: This pick is protected by the no Joey clause) Peace Out
Super Cubs 154 Posted March 12, 2006 what no Randy, TO, or Harrison? good job
Portis26 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Is this for 05? or '06? These look like last years final standings - minus Kitna in Detroit of course.
adam smitty 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Not a bad list but I think top 5 is a little high for Roy Williams, even with Martz there running the offense.
gatorbait7391 0 Posted March 12, 2006 i agree with the rbs, but your qbs and wrs are waaaaay off
Warren Moon 0 Posted March 12, 2006 I grew up in Detroit, so I have the eternal optimism that somebody in Detroit will be consistenly good besides the kicker!

Portis26 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Definately agreed if you think Edge wil out perform Portis this upcoming season - care for a side CASH wager?
Let Da Big Dog Eat 42 Posted March 13, 2006 With Edge in AZ will wait for your revised list. He is not top 5 anymore.
mggoilers 0 Posted March 13, 2006 RBs 1. LT - His numbers will increase and especially in the passing game 2. Portis - Another year, lots of opps 3. SA - They lose Hutch, and RB's coming off career year rarely repeat 4. Edge - Incentives, Incentives, Incentives, plus he'll be more active near the goalline. weak D in division 5. LJ - Aging line and teams focusing on him full time...injury risk. Sleeper: Droughns could slip into the top 5 QBs 1. Peyton - No edge, got to throw it 2. Tom Brady - weak running game 3. Eli Manning - they like to chuck it 4. Palmer - Should get off to a slow start with the knee, but there is nobody else to put here. 5. Warner - safeties creeping up, go over the top Sleeper: Rex Grossman WR 1. Marvin Harrison- last season without Edge, 143 catches. 2. Chad Johnson - his last season with Kitna was not bad, just get him the ball 3. Torry Holt - Mr. Consistency 4. Fitzgerald - fighting for balls, but always playing from behind 5. Randy Moss/T.O Sleeper: Andre Johnson TE 1. Gates 2. Witten - less blocking more catching 3. Crumpler 4. Gonzo 5. Shockey Sleeper: Stevens This is my list, with sleeper top 5 guys. Guest 00ITR499 Posted March 13, 2006 4. Edge - He won't take a job in a bad running situation. 2. Kurt Warner - I think I could throw for 30 TDs with those receivers. 4. Eli - Impressive at times last year, showing all of the signs of developing into the 2nd best manning. 5. (Note: This pick is protected by the no Joey clause) I got a good laugh. Edge signed in Arizona. Neither Warner nor Eli nor Kitna will end up in the top 5. Nor will Roy Williams. Thanks for the effort, but pass what you're smokin.
devilsden 0 Posted March 13, 2006 RBs 1. LT - 2. Sean Alexander 3. Edge 4. Lamont Jordan 5. LJ Sleeper: Tiki Barber QBs 1. Peyton - 2. Tom Brady - Dependent on Givens Resigning or a replacement 3. Warner - on paper should have a good season if healthy 4. McNabb 5. Eli Manning - Sleeper: Harrington,,,, WR 1. - .Chad Johnson 2. -Torry Holt 3. -Fitzgerald 4. - Marvin Harrison 5. Randy Moss/T.O Sleeper: Donald Driver if Farve returns TE 1. Gates 2. Crumpler 3. Gonzo 4. Shockey 5. Stevens Sleeper: Ben Watson
famousb 11 Posted March 13, 2006 RBs 1. LJ - Don't expect Priest back, and he beat LT last year in a partial season. new O coord, and hasn't started for a full season yet, i'll put him #2. 2. SA - Lead the league the last 2 years. Got his money, will he be the same? Guaranteed Top 5 can't bump him from #1. To be the man, you have to beat the man 3. LT - Always great. How good/bad will Rivers be? new QB could hurt (a little), but will definitely still be a top 5 4. Edge - He won't take a job in a bad running situation. corrected, he DID take a job in a bad situation. But that offense can be good. I'll take him at #5. 5. Tiki - I pass on him every year, and then get pissed when he goes off. Giants will be better, his numbers will be the same two good years in a row. i'm putting the same tag on him this year that everyone put on CuMar for the past 5 years - getting too old and hit too much as for WRs. 1. T-O T-O T-O!!! wherever he lands. 2. CJ 3. Steve Smith 4. LFitz 5. ABoldin yup. TWO guys from AZ, just like back when Bruce & Holt were at the top... He finished 8th overrall last year, and that was w/ missing 2 games...
PistolPete2432 0 Posted March 13, 2006 if you think Edge wil out perform Portis this upcoming season - care for a side CASH wager? Portis easily could now that they have a good recievers and i really dont think the cardinals are gonna be that good still
mdubz 0 Posted March 13, 2006 RBs: 1. SA 2. LJ 3. LT 4. Edge 5. Caddy QBs: 1. Peyton 2. Carson (assuming he's healthy) 3. DNabb 4. Warner 5. Eli WRs: 1. Smith 2. Holt 3. TO (assuming he finds a home) 4. harrison 5. boldin/fitz (take your pick)
