Thats good. I didnt think Warrick got enough PT last year, hopefully this year they will get him on the field more.

With JJ gone he should see more action.

The way I heard it was. He still wasn't fully recovered from his injury.

That's why I like this signing. If he is back to full speed, obviously he's a great wide reciever.

Plus I would have hated know he spent half a year with us, learning our system, and training with our staff all for nothing.

Lets so what he does this year. If it's nothing much. Then we go a different way next year.

The potential is terrific though.

Hackett too.

They're also visting with Burleson.

If the price is right, This would be well worth a 3rd pick to Minny.

DJAX on one side, Burelson on the other. Put Engram back in the slot.

I dont think signing Burleson would be good for the team. It is highly unlikely both Jackson and Engram would get injured for a significant time again next year and we already have pretty good depth. With Jackson, Engram, Hackett, Warrick, and Urban I think we are fine with WRs.

I'd rather just have us spend money on another pass rushing DE like Abraham(he is also visiting), resign Rocky, and sign an OLB to go with Tatupu and Hill.

I am not sold on Hackett or Urban. They need to show more before I would classify them as contributors. Agree with Kopy that Warrick has potential, but was hurt last year, but then again, he hasn't shown all that much in his career so far. It is is an inexpensive gamble.

If Seattle doesn't match Hutchinson, they will probably work hard to land Abraham. Bernard is going to probably get more money elsewhere, and is probably gone. With Sharper gone and Dyson gone, gotta fill those holes at LB and CB, although there is some depth at CB in the draft. DT is an annual need. And see if any serviceable OG is still left in free agency to help fill Hutchinson's spot; I haven't check any availability lists.

I don't think too much about Urban. (Lets not even talk about Bannister). But yeah, your probably right with those 4 guys. I'm not sure what I think about Abraham. I think I'd have to see the deal, and then the contract first.

Hutch and Rocky are musts. Don't forget about our secondary though. We're a Corner and a Free Safety down.

OLB, I think we can draft. He'd be on the weak side anyways. And if he has some learning curves. DD Lewis can help the cause.

P.S. Nice to see you around boarder. Stay waiten so see Phillybear.

Thats one thing I forgot to mention: a CB. With Dyson gone I dont feel comfortable at all with Herndon at #2. They need to spend some money and sign a CB that could come in and contribute immediately.

Hopefully Hamlin will be healthy for next year, he says he will be. Milloy is also visiting, im all for signing him if he comes cheap enough and is willing to accept a backup role if Hamlin comes back.

IMO Hackett has performed everytime he has gotten the chance. He deserves to get more PT, and if Warrick is healthy he should also be able to contribute a lot more after learning the offense for a year.

You lost me ;)

LOL, I was going to say the same thing. For years, all I heard was how big of a bust he was. I for one think he's above average, just never had a chance to succeed with a poor supporting cast around him.

Also, I wanted to point out that it was a bit disappointing not being able to hang out at this board as Seattle was marching to a Super Bowl appearance. Last year was a great experience, except for the horrible officiating in the Super Bowl, and pretty much the whole playoffs.

Let's see if we can win it this year. ;)

A good move for Seattle as a team as it was not an expensive signing. I liked what I saw of Hackett although if Burleson is added to the mix the fantasy effectiveness of most of them is going to be kinda spotty with the way that O spreads the ball around.

Seahawks | Peterson scheduled to visit

Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports the Seattle Seahawks have scheduled free agent LB Julian Peterson (49ers) for a visit.

A LB core of Tatupu, Hill, and a healthy Peterson. :ninja:

I like the Rocky signing. He was a solid contributor last season, and despite what many say, there is something to be said for continuity on the OL and DL.

As far as I have seen, Peterson has not visited anyone this offseason. He would be a dynamite signing, as he can play everything from speed end to OLB to slot corner (on bigger WR) to S and nickel LB. There isn't a down and or position he can't cover. <<still wishing SF would make an offer...>>

Warrick needs to stay healthy, and club Engram on the knee, so he can get a shot at excelling across from DJAX. Love DJax's ability and repore with Hass, and a legit #1a type in Warrick across the field from him would be a great pairing. ENgram has a twisted ability to find holes out of the slot, and he would be the best #3 in the NFL if moved back there.

I like Hackett, and think he could do well with a shot at legit PT, but he has too many good players in front of him.

I am surprised they would go after Burleson. He is a schlub, and is best left in MIN. I don't see what he can add to the SEA lineup that they don't already have.

Urban is a throw away. Bannister is a special teams dynamo who when healthy is a consistent pro bowl performer.

Agreed...if he has a strong camp, then I think he's a decent sleeper WR3 next year with WR2 upside. He helped me to my lone championship with his 79 reception 800+ yds and 9 TD season - he has skills.

Problem is that even with JJ gone, there's still Engram and DJax, so if he's a #3, he won't come close to those numbers. If he can grab the WR2 spot from Engram he'll be a great pick in the 9-10th round.

Of course, this is all dependant on if he's healthy and hasn't lost his speed.

All depends on how they intend to use him and how much he costs.

I have doubts about him rejoining the elite LBs after tearing his achillies. Before, he was compared to Ray Lewis - I have feeling that Nolan woulda retained him if that comparison was still accurate. Word is he's lost a step. His game was speed, and if that's gone, eh.

Here's what I read about him

The 49ers would like to have Peterson back, but they likely will allow him to establish his free-agent market value before offering him a deal. The key issue with Peterson will be the condition of his Achilles’ tendon, which he tore in 2004. His play was a bit off from his standards this season, probably because the injury was not completely healed. If Peterson can make a complete return from the injury, he has the potential to be the best outside linebacker in football.

I read that as "good as gone" because the money he'll demand will be significant. And if Nolan/Niners aren't going to pay, then there's got to be something wrong with Peterson. Or maybe he just doesn't fit the 3-4? Or maybe the Niners are insane. One of the 3. Dunno.

If Peterson can come back next year and be completely healthy from being two years removed from his injury, I have no problem with them offering a fairly big deal to make our LBs be one of the best, if not the best in the league. WE will have the room seeing as how it doesnt look like we will resign Hutch.

Thing is, he initially hurt it in the 5th game of 2004. So he was out most of 2004, then played all of 2005. That's nearly 2 years right there.

Makes me wonder if his 3rd year is going to be any better...if he gives you 3 sacks and a FF for say, Ray Lewis Money? eew.

So was I at first... then then I realized it was God's little way of reminding me I'm a Seahawk fan :pointstosky:
