Force of Two 0 Posted April 5, 2006 check out theisman's career stats next to brunell: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/BrunMa00.htm http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/TheiJo00.htm and i'll throw in mark rypien and doug willams: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/RypiMa00.htm http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/WillDo01.htm yeah, it'd be impossible for brunell to have seasons like these GREAT QB's. Im only going to reply once becuase its obvious that your homerism is taking over and having a real football dialogue with you is pointless. 1) I didnt say that any one of those 3 Quarterbacks were great. 2) If your are going to base things on career stats then well you just have me beat...with that logic Brett Favre is going to beat Brunnell in the NFC championship game this year. 3) Thiesmann was 32-34 when the Redskins were winning in 82-83, Doug Williams was 32, and Rypien was 30. Brunnell will be 36 this year and his arm has never been strong in the first place so one more year is only going to expose him again. I would think that if you really knew football then you would expect something closer to 2004 than 2005. Is he going to suck? Probably Not but is he going to be able to get you to a title game...I wouldnt hold my breath. 4) Ive already said that the defense that they have is a very good, championship caliber defense, though again I think Archuleta is vastly overrated. This alone will keep you guys in the hunt for the Division and contend in a 1st round playoff game but I dont think that the Quarterback you have will assure you of a 2nd round home game and therefore it will be much of the same that you guys had last year. Im sorry if this rains on your parade as a homer but it is what it is....and anything else is a false bill of goods
mark32esu 18 Posted April 5, 2006 i dont understand how prisco says the pats are so friggin smart for not signing any free agents yet the eagles are cheap because they didnt break the bank in free agency. prisco is a retard
JetsFan28 0 Posted April 5, 2006 #31. Can't disappoint from there. Gotta love playing the underdog role. Mark my words, the New York Jets WILL be a competitive team this season.
Baby Jesus 0 Posted April 5, 2006 Atlanta and San Diego are both better teams than Miami at this point.
gatorbait7391 0 Posted April 5, 2006 wow, i liked where he put the jags but this guy is an idot....
ellisonb11 0 Posted April 5, 2006 these rankings def. have many flaws....my team, the jags who are up and coming with an unbelievable defense, probly dont deserve to be the 6th team....But, the jags should easily be an 8-10 team no question. After all, we did beat both AFC and NFC champs.

Yes I know the skins are going through a transition phase with the QB - but I'm not all that concerned THIS YEAR - but next year.. that another story - We'l see lots an d lots of Campbell this pre-season -thats for sure
swamp dog 0 Posted April 6, 2006 can't believe people even care what cbs thinks about anything related to football--especially in early april. cbs printed it--god it must be all true! crap!
harken34 0 Posted April 6, 2006 I don't even see why they would post that until after the draft.

Yes I know the skins are going through a transition phase with the QB - but I'm not all that concerned THIS YEAR - but next year.. that another story - We'l see lots an d lots of Campbell this pre-season -thats for sure The Ravens had a top 5 of all time defense that year....and I didnt say that Brunnell was terrible but I dont think that he at this point in his career will get you any further than he did last year. The faster they get Campbell on the field the faster they will find out if he is the man or they need to continue the search. The Redskin D is very good but not on the caliber of that Raven Team so I dont see how Brunnell can make up the difference in any way. Lastly How can Skins fans not at least have it in the back of thier head that Brunnell wont play like he did in 2004?....Its not like hes a young guy who was going through growing pains....I think you guys are going to get something more in the middle of his 04-05 seasons for 2006 and that wont be enough to get that team out of the 1st Round and maybe not even to the playoffs.
