onejayhawk 3 Posted April 14, 2006 There was a thread about this back at the signing. I would still like some fresh input. Off the top of my head, it seems a good fit for fantasy purposes, since he is a bomb thrower, and so is Al Davis. He certainly has the WR's to go go go. jocstrap 8 Posted April 14, 2006 It all comes down to Moss. If Moss is healthy and plays every game that leaves a lot of 1 on 1 coverage with Porter, Gabriel, Curry and Brooks should be a solid 23-27 td type of guy. Moss makes a Qb look great period. redtodd 7 Posted April 15, 2006 I think he will be OK. Nothing special, but not a bust. Similiar to his NO days.
harken34 0 Posted April 15, 2006 Collins or Brooks When your O-Line sucks it really doesn't matter. But too answer your question. Not too good.

Bishop82 61 Posted April 15, 2006 I see Brooks doing better in Oakland then he ever did in New Orleans. Outside of Denver, all the teams in the AFC West have no D. We'll see come September
FlaHawker 24 Posted April 15, 2006 Aaron Brooks is Aaron Brooks. What you see is what you get.
49ER MAN 0 Posted April 15, 2006 He has some legit weapons with Oakland with Moss, Porter and Jordan so maybe they draft Vernon Davis if he's available to help stretch the field. If the o-line can do a good job to protect Brooks and Moss can stay healthy, perhaps 25-28 TD's for Brooks.

That's the one thing that the Raiders personnel indicates they should do well. Their problems include an inability to block on the offensive line, no defense to speak of, no WR willing to consistently catch the ball across the middle of the field, and an inconsistent QB with a strong arm and a weak decision making process. Which means they're in exactly the same place they were at this time last year. Brooks has been around 7 years now, 6 of those as a starter on a team with plenty of offensive weapons. He'll do just about what he's always done: 22-25 TD, 16-18 Int. Oh, and the team will lose lots of games.
JetsFan28 0 Posted April 16, 2006 Lots of INT's and plenty of losses. That's what I see in Brooks' future with the Raiders.

Other than that, I agree.
Deadpool 0 Posted April 16, 2006 I think it just depends on him. If he comes in and is still the inconsistent decision maker that we have come to known the last few years, he will throw for 3200 yds, 22 TDs - 20 INTs. I agree that he has weapons in Oakland, but he also had weapons in NO as well. Granted, it didn't help him any losing Duece and Stallworth dropping passes everywhere. What he needs in Oakland to make him succeed is a good O-line, a good possesion reciever (a good pass-catching TE would work here also), and a good QB coach to help him with his decision making. Only time will tell though.
