crocodilecj 0 Posted April 28, 2006 Top need is CB, but as we saw last year, there's no telling what they'll do. Lots of teams will be picking CB's ahead of them, so it's hard to say who will be there when 1.31 comes around. CB Jonathan Joseph, Clemson CB Kelly Jennings, Miami A lot of mockers I've seen have ignored CB Ashton Youboty, Ohio St. in the first round of their mocks for some odd reason (Kiper has him out of the his Top 25 overall). I seriously doubt he'll fall this far. They could go OG or DE here, too.........or not.
t.j 35 Posted April 28, 2006 t'ain't Youboty, it's ya beauty. I think a lot of mocks have him out of the first round because there are so many other corners with first round grades. A lot of mockers don't like to pick 6-7 guys at one position going in the first round. nfldraftcountdown.com has 5 corner in its top 32, and has Youboty as its 6th-best corner, going 47th to the Falcons. phillybear 366 Posted April 28, 2006 Take the best player available all draft long. No obvious needs to fill. Otherwise, me and the front office will have a big problem. Top need is CB, but as we saw last year, there's no telling what they'll do. Lots of teams will be picking CB's ahead of them, so it's hard to say who will be there when 1.31 comes around. On yet another site, I took Santonio Holmes in the first round. Heck, I would be happy with either one. Best player available.

phillybear 366 Posted April 29, 2006 I am getting my war room ready for today. Link Some of my running commentary from last year's draft. Good times....good times.... And I only stalk women. Wearing a Burger King costume. I am in the process of sacrificing a chicken to help the process along. The tension is killing me. I am in the process of hitting myself in the head with a brick. Don't look at it. Chug it. Then pound the empty into your skull. Now I am excited. I think I just peed a little. If Torry Holt mentions his Rams sweeping Seattle last year, I will pile-drive my TV. Every focking year. Every year. Seattle is up in the first round, and ESPN gets two commercial breaks in, interviews 14 players, goes to a round table discussion and...well Seattle has 15 seconds on the clock. They had a good year last year. Lets go to Tags at the podium. NO RESPECT!!@#$@!!! Dam it. There it is. The second commercial break. I am scaring the neighbors with my howls of rage. It's a conspiracy. AAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fock. Fock. Fock. That focker Chris Spencer. I don't have him in my top 60 on my draft board. Suck ass. Kiper says it's a need. Are you focking kidding me. This is a backup player. Worst. Pick. Ever. Ruskell needs to put a gun in his mouth and pull the trigger until it goes CLICK. I HATE THIS MOTHER FOCKING PICK. I want to douse myself in gasoline and set myself on fire, but I can't find a match. I will continue to breathe into a paper bag for the next few minutes and may rejoin the rubble left in this thread. Well, my remote is in a hundred pieces. Lofa Tatupu. I had him #110 on my draft board. And they traded up for this sack of shiot. Is Seattle purposely trying to kill me today. I want to reach down my throat, pull out my heart, stomp on it, puree it, and feed it to a racoon. This is the most frustratingly crappy draft is the history of this focking universe. Fock. Me. Also, of the 7 guys on my wishlist, Seattle avoided all of them like the herpes on Ron Mexico's cack. AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHH. Just kill me. I need the next 15 minutes to smoke a pack of cigarettes. Later. Let's review the last 10 minutes in the life of phillybear. After wandering aimlessly in my backyard, I had an inspired thought. After a running start, I attempted to impale myself on my neighbors broken lawn chair. While I was unsuccessful in a puncture wound, I was successful in convincing my neighbor not to call the police. At least I am in some pain. Now, I will head to the nearest busy intersection, and thrown myself into the path of the first speeding SUV I see. I'll be right back. Since Ruskell wants the best character guys, Seattle is drafting the most polite players available. The next picks, in the third round, Seattle will pick Miss Manners and someone with a British accent. David Focking Green. #120 on the draft board. WWWWHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! The carousel keeps spinning. Is Ruskell some kind of mentally handicapped hire? I am sitting in a dark room. Beer bottle in hand. Paper grocery bag over my head, with eyeholes and mouth cut out. It is the paper bag of shame, popular with Saints fans many years ago....We are on the clock. The acid reflux is buring holes in my molars. That kind of logic should be written on some cardboard and stapled to the forehead of every single person in the Seattle War Room. Ruskell running the draft from his laptop:I got mail.I got mail.I got mail.I got mail.I got mail.I got mail.I got mail.I got mail.I got mail.I got mail.I got mail.I got mail.I got mail.I got mail. YYYYEEEEAAAAYYYYY!!! This draft has left me emotionally scarred. I will be limp the rest of my life. Johnny Ringo: Isn't anyone here man enough to play for the Seattle Seahawks? Doc Holliday: I'm your Jeb Huckleberry. Yes. I want to tie myself down, cover my hair in honey, and let some fire ants go nuts. NO, YOU FOCK OFF. Thank you. And FOCK OFF. Rember "In Ruskell we trust" I could have deleted that rant, never to see the light of day again, but I still stand by it. I still feel Seattle took Tatupu a full round too early. The guy was projected as a 4th round pick. Seattle traded up in the second round to get him. I had my heart set on Odell Thurman, and before he got hurt, was in contention for Rookie of the Year. Other than Tatupu and Leroy Hill in the 5th round, the rest of the picks pretty much sucked last year. In Ruskell We Trust? I don't, when it comes to the draft. But that remains to be seen today. I will give him serious credit for the job he has done with contracts and retaining free agents. Except for Hutchinson, and if they would have franchised him, they would have kept him, but otherwise, the front office has done and excellent job in free agency the last 2 years. Gotta go out and replenish my alcohol supply. I'll catch up with you knuckleheads in a little while.
phillybear 366 Posted April 29, 2006 Less than an hour to go. I wonder if Seattle will make it's first pick within the first 4 hours. Interesting that Houston passed on Reggie Bush. I am really sick of all the focking hype around that guy.

phillybear 366 Posted April 29, 2006 Hey phillybear, with the Seahawks signing of Burleson, do you think WR is still on their radar for the first day of the draft? Unless the value is outstanding, probably not. Jackson, Engram, Burleson, Warrick, Hackett...the roster is kind of full. And after the contract they gave Burleson, I don't really see it. But I didn't understand the logic of most of the picks last year, so I really don't know.
crocodilecj 0 Posted April 29, 2006 Amazing pick by the Bills of Donte Whitner, S Ohio ST. I actually saw one mock that had Whitner falling all the way to the end of Rd. 1 and Seattle taking him. Now the Rams have traded out of 11. I suppose they can still take a CB at 15 like many had them taking at 11. The run on CB's is delayed a bit. Unless Cleveland does something unexpected. The Whitner pick was stunning. Arizona did very well by having Leinart fall in their laps. The have a scary looking offense, which will be great for many years to come. phillybear 366 Posted April 29, 2006 Just about half way through the first round. I am starting to take an interest in my draft chart, hoping for teams to start reaching, allowing better players to drift down to us. I had Whitner at #18. Still scratching my head. crocodilecj 0 Posted April 29, 2006 The Rams start the run on CB's with Tye Hill from Clemson. It should be interesting....
phillybear 366 Posted April 29, 2006 I had Jason Allen going around the end of the first. Just about the time for teams to start reaching.
phillybear 366 Posted April 29, 2006 Carpenter and Hali I had going after Seattle's pick. Carpenter was a recent riser, skyrocketing up the draft boards, so I can understand it. But decent players are drifting down.... Ironically enough, WR might be the value pick at this point. Chad Jackson and Santonio Holmes are still on the board. I wonder why Winston Justice is dropping so much. Best CB left are Jimmy Williams, Jonathan Joseph, Richard Marshall.

phillybear 366 Posted April 29, 2006 CB: Jimmy Williams, Jonathan Joseph, Richard Marshall, Ashton Youboty WR: Chad Jackson, Santonio Holmes DE: Mathia Kiwanuka As we get closer to our pick, I am seeing one of these guys as our potential pick. I just had to edit out Manny Lawson, as he just disappeared. Unless Winston Justice is still left. Even if he failed a drug test, too much value to let him go. But Ruskell won't take him because of character. Which sucks, because it limits options. I am getting prepared for disappointment, as Seattle reaches for a 3rd round type of player, since we don't have a third round pick.
phillybear 366 Posted April 29, 2006 If we didn't bring back Mo Morris, RB would have been a sweet option, with DeAngelo Williams and LenDale White still on the board. Not that I am crazy about White.
phillybear 366 Posted April 29, 2006 CB: Jimmy Williams, Richard Marshall, Ashton Youboty WR: Chad Jackson DE: Mathia Kiwanuka OT: Winston Justice Looks like CB will be the pick. Justice has character issues. I don't think they will go WR. The best available talent, which can fit a need is at CB. We are on the clock.....
phillybear 366 Posted April 29, 2006 I think Jimmy Williams is the way to go.

phillybear 366 Posted April 29, 2006 Mother focker. They went to commercial while Seattle is on the clock. That makes is 147 straight years that they do this to Seattle in the first round. Fock you ESPN. Focking fockers. Just ignore a team that was in the Super Bowl. Now we get profiles of players remaining. Did anyone even mention Seattle? NO RESPECT!!!! phillybear 366 Posted April 29, 2006 Now they are interviewing LenDale White. Ten minutes on the clock, and ESPN is ignoring Seattle. AGAIN. Die. Die. Die. Dammit. Dammit. Dammit. WHOOO HOOOOO. phillybear 366 Posted April 29, 2006 Eh. I had Kelly Jennings as the fourth best CB on the board. I don't hate the pick, as it fills a need, but Jimmy Williams was by far a better player on the board. Why does Retard Ruskell insist on reaching for players. Trade down, you mouth breathing ape-like fluke worm. Get value for your stupid hunches. No one is impressed when you pick a player sooner than he should go. You want a high five? Here, here it is :highfive:. Now do the right thing, and get value with your picks, you mongoloid. I hate this front office. Die. Die. Die.
