Wondering what everyone thinks. TMQ said it is a no-brainer that it will, but I'm not sure. I think it would be a great homage to the player and to all that have selflessly given their lives in combat, however sometimes that is overshadowed by $$$$$$$.

If they have something like Taco Bell's Tribute to Pat Tillman Stadium, I will hurl.

Nope. Unless Tillman's family shells out the bajillion bucks or so for it. Otherwise, whatever company puts up the money they'll want their name, and their name only, on it.

I hope not.

I would much rather it be named Veteran’s or Memorial or some other general name than after Tillman. He would have never wanted to be singled out as more worthy or special than the other 3000 dead.

It would be classy.

Therefore, the answer would be no.

I don't think singling out one name would honor all the rest, but that's how I feel. Now if they name it Veterans Memorial that would be fine. But sadly, in today's world of corporate greed, those days seem to be long over.

The Chicago Bears play in a stadium named for Tillman and his comrades.

I hope they play there for a long time, and don't want a new stadium anytime soon. The Eagles and Phillies used to play in Veterans Memorial stadium too. Until they wanted new stadiums each and corporate greed took over.

They just rebuilt soldier field so they will be there a long time. The Bears wanted to sell the naming rights but the people of chicago were in an uproar over it. In the end, the team was not allowed to sell the naming rights.

New soldier field is stupid looking, and I'm glad they didn't change the name of the stadium, but saying Chicago Bears football presented by Bank One is even more stupid than the way soldier field looks now.
