Bird Flu plans ? ?

Recommended Posts

I know it is kinda thought of as a joke at this point but look at it - according to reports anywhere from 55 - 75 % of people infected die ! ! Now some of that might be due to lack of proper medicines / diagnosis time - so take 20 % off that it's still 35 - 55 % fatality rate. Just wondering if any geeks had any plans of what they will do when it hits. Go to a remote location and wait it out ( if you can afford it ) , Stock up on rubber gloves and respirator masks , go about normally. I think I am going to just send the wife and kids to her parents - they have a place in a remote location in Quebec - I would likely stay ( being as safe as I could be as I need my job  ). Of course if Bush gets off his ass and starts devoting even 1/10th of the money he is spending in Iraq on this a vaccine should be found and all worry would be mute ! but of course baby sitting a bunch of towel heads are more important i guess  .

Start with the kids, the younger they are the more tender the meat will be, and the less likely that there will be that much of an "attachment" to them...
