Gepetto 1,368 Posted May 8, 2006 Thought crossed my mind, what do you think of drafting Marvin Harrison in the third round and Reggie Wayne in the 4th round??? (in a redraft league - 10 teams)
Hagy34 0 Posted May 8, 2006 Not a bad idea if you have some solid RB's. Better than the idea of Boldin, Fitz in the 2nd and 3rd.
t.j 35 Posted May 8, 2006 Marvin in the mid-to-late third round would be a steal. Wayne in the late fourth round would be a steal.
ratbastard1 0 Posted May 9, 2006 now your talking. If you could pull that off, and you might, that would be a tag-team from hell.
9-Route 0 Posted May 9, 2006 im not so convinced. guy in our league picking 2 overall took manning, then snagged harrison at 3 and wayne at 4, along with dallas clark as his tight end. they werent as big a juggernaut, and he really didnt make as big a splash as anticipated. FantasyKing 4 Posted May 10, 2006 Too many eggs in one basket for my taste. I wouldn't do it.
ratbastard1 0 Posted May 10, 2006 Your talking 2 guys on one of the most prolific pasing offenses in history. I would stay away from other indy players but id have no problem going this route, especially if Wayne is the absolute best player on the board. He's your #2 at that point and you can always trade him or bench him if it doesnt work out. If Harrison goes down you already have Wayne so your ahead of the game. Manning will find both, often, and we all know it. Harrison as your #1 is good for anybody and most would be thrilled to have Wayne as their #2. Ariz. would be a tandem i would want too but its not even as sturdy as Indy based on no Manning. The only time it would reall hurt you is the week Manning throws no TDs. (when does that happen? without a ton of yards? doesnt that happen with 2 different teams anyway?) you might be even more consistent, which is good. DO IT! HeadlessChikun 0 Posted May 10, 2006 I had them both in 2004 and they carried me to a championship. but then again Manning threw 49 of them. I think this year would also be a great year to have them both.
Let Da Big Dog Eat 40 Posted May 10, 2006 I would never draft 2 WR from the same team, especially as #1 and #2. You are giving up a game in the bye week and giving up the season if Manning gets hurt.

gatorbait7391 0 Posted May 10, 2006 Not a bad idea. Id rather have fitz/boldin though
Vols 0 Posted May 11, 2006 Not a bad idea. Id rather have fitz/boldin though Getting Fitz and Boldin probably isn't realistic since they'll both be drafted very close together. Getting Harrison and Wayne is somewhat realistic, but I'd be surprised if it's pulled off in rounds 3/4.

I'll take a basket full of Wayne and Harrison any day of the week. Especially since Edge left!!!
Swagger 0 Posted May 12, 2006 Manning will have the full load this year. We had a guy who did the Indy thing as well, and made it to 4th (10 Team) place last year. He ended trading Harrison in order to get some depth. Bottom line the Indy theory did not work to perfection, but he did blow away some folks in a few games. The consistency was not there for Indy with scoring in 2005, but I fully expect a return to 2004, just not a rewcord breaking season. Edge has SOMETHING to do with 49.
