As much as I think Addai is over-hyped, he's still going to be 25 times better than Lendale White. Unless Lendale eats him of course.

I don't see it that way at all. I agree Addai is in a very nice situation, given he has Manning at Qb, and a pair of very fine wideouts. We do know how they would like to use him there, but we also have to remember what Fisher has been looking for since the forced depature of George. He has been looking for a stud, push the pile, back. White could fit that bill quite well. All reports are he is in excellant shape, and has been very involved in learning the offense. I would like you to consider this. I feel Addai is in a much better situation for longevity as a stud at the position, but that is due more to offensive schemes and usage. I feel White will be called upon to carry more of the load, due to the lack of McNair, and as potent of an air game. I could easily see White actually being "more" valuable to his team, as Manning can always take it to the air. If I had to pick between the two for possible impact this season, I feel White offers more potential FF impact. If I were to predict who was going to have the longer more effective FF career, I would probably say Addai.

Give me White for the first 3 years and Addai beyond that.

I think Addai will take the starting position for Indy and become a bonafide stud fantasy RB. Rhodes is a backup period. Maroney is in a great situation as well because after this year the job will be his in New England. New England has a very young offense including the best QB in the league in Brady. I'd rank the rookies like this:

1 - Addai

2 - Maroney

3 - Bush

4 - L. White

5. - D. Williams - I only rank him so low because his playing time depends on Foster being injured. Foster was given a big contract in the offseason meaning Williams will not be seeing the field unless Foster gets injured.

I see it

1- Bush ( guaranteed involvement, lining up everywhere )

2- White (I feel he will wrestle the short yardage stuff immediatly, and quite well the job, early on)

3- Addai (Will start out behind Rhodes with a very good chance of winning the job)

4- Maroney (your explanation above says it all)

5- Williams (his play time will depend on injury this season, and Goings is still a quick fix option for them)

Being in a "good situation" counts, but Reggie Bush has been regarded as the best RB to come out of the draft, evah.

You assclowns can hype Addai all you want, but I'll go with Bush.

BTW, Smizzy is the best handle I've seen here in quite a while.

I don't get it.

If you're implying that I'm Bart Hendricks, you're wrong.

If you're implying that I'm Burt, you're also wrong.

If its cool, I'd like to imply you're Chronic Husker

ALSO Bush will be the longtime stud of this group.

Addai just doesn't look like a franchise back to me, from footage I watched. Indy might be drafting a back in the first round again after about two years.

White, apart from the usually posted red flags, concerns me in regards to all the constant rumors of Fisher moving on. If Fisher goes, Chow probably goes; if Chow goes, White will drown his sorrows in all the Ben & Jerrys he blows his signing bonus on.

You're the worst alias buster, evah.

Also, whose CMT do I have to suck to get allowed back on your board?

my take on this situation going into FUTURE years, not just this year:

1- Williams - Carolina is one of the most run-oriented offenses in the NFL AND they have a great passing game right now w/ SSmith so defenses can not key on him. Was touted by many as the best pure runner in the draft.

2- Addai - If he can prove himself in the Indy system he will clearly be a top RB candidate simply because of the system. He'll benefit from about 3-4 more years of that system and those players performing at that level.

3- Maroney - once Dillon is gone the job should be his. My only concern will be how much longer does Belichick stay there, and what happens to the "system" when he goes since both of his OCs have already jumped ship.

4- Bush - i only put him down this far because he will obviously be in a RBBC situation for a few years as long as Deuce is there and Bush will more than likely not be the guy getting the gl carries.

5- White - i'm just worried that he's going to wind up being the guy that gets out of shape every off-season, and then has to struggle to get back into shape. Or that he's going to have chronic problems w/ his hamstrings or knees or something...

1. Addai/Maroney; Maroney is the only RB in the mix who is guaranteed to get the rock once the incumbent starter retires. Which should happen within the next 1-2 years. Addai has the most enviable situation to walk into. But he isn't guaranteed that starting job yet. IMHO Rhodes is a career backup, and we will see that once again this season by week 5-7. ***(Fortunately I own both in my dynasty league in case my hunch is incorrect)

2. Bush; just based on what this kid can do with the football in his hands. Doesn't matter if he's lined up with McAllister at the same time. I think those 2 can feed off each other to make one of the most feared tandems out there. Nobody will be talking about Bell/Dayne if these 2 can live up to the hype.

3. Williams; Agreed that CAR is an extremely run oriented team. But there's always a hitch with drafting a RB in CAR. You need to draft their entire depth chart to ensure you have THE GUY. Yeah they drafted Williams high, but they did that just the same with Eric Shelton 2 years ago. Deshaun Foster is talented (maybe brittle, but he can play!). Nick Goings gets his 3rd down love, and what happens to Shelton? Too many options for my taste to be ranked as the best keeper option.

4. White; Even if he takes over as no1 from day 1. It's TEN. Once again there are too many options. If they deal Brown in the offseason this year or next, White will be a solid keeper. But until than, I won't give any props to White. Henry, is just a bumb.

This season i think the situation will be cloudy there (until Foster gets hurt again). But Shelton is already more or less looking at the role of short yardage / goaline back considering his size, and this is pretty much base case scenario for him.

Foster is an injury concern to the team until he proves otherwise and Goings is good but is not considered a #1 back by the coaching staff for some reason.

If DWilliams can demonstrate ability to play on a NFL level and durability to be a primary back, there is a very good chance that CAR clears out that RB stable a little over next offseason. They've always tried to acquire and keep a single #1 back (look at SDavis in 2003), but they've never been succesful in doing so due to injuries. If DWilliams can fill that role I think he could be good for a number of years to come.

I really hope you're right. I got him at 1.05 in one of my PPR dynasty leagues, and he was a steal at that spot!!!

I'm just referring to your tendancy to impress us all by calling everyone here assclowns. Every year we're blessed by the presence of somebody like you. Sometimes they stick around, come around, and contribute. Other times they exclude themselves from ever being taken seriously, and then fade away. Which are you? Good luck! I'm pulling for you, for we can never get enough legitimate discussion here.
