Striker99 0 Posted July 26, 2006 If you had to pick from these three...who would you draft and why ? 12 team, re-draft league. (if culpepper is healthy)
Cuse9 129 Posted July 26, 2006 CPepp has more promise. Bledsoe is good and has phenomenal weapons this year...Owens, Glenn (if stays healthy) and Witten. Then with Julius or Barber in the backfield. Green will get a ton of yards and no TD's...same ole, same ole. CPepp just edges out Bledsoe. I think Bledsoe will have more yards and big plays, but CPepp has the potential to have about 10 mord TD's IMO.
mgs316 14 Posted July 26, 2006 For this season only, I'd have to go with Bledsoe. Culpepper is in a new system, is coming back from a terrible knee injury, and he still isn't playing with Moss. Trent Green's best days are numbered. He'll still throw for around 3800 yards or so, but his best TD days are behind him. Plus the dude always starts out sooooo slow, he puts you in a losing situation the first couple of weeks.

Byars41 0 Posted July 26, 2006 the IF takes Culpepper out of the equation for me. the guy ripped his knee to shreds, who knows if he's even playing. i voted Bledsoe. with TO, Glenn, Witten he should have good yards and TDs. T.Green usually racks up yards but other than Gonzo has no go-to guy. L.Johnson will get too many of the TDs.
Guest cuseinroch Posted July 26, 2006 Id say Culpepper. Chris Chambers is a YOUNG stud. Dallas is putting a bunch of older guys on offense hoping they hold up. Oline isn't the same there. Statistically QBs usually bounce back after "bad" years. my vote is pep
Boston 0 Posted July 26, 2006 If I was picking a backup it would definetly be Culpepper. He has a ton of upside but he's still a big question mark. As far as a starter I'm not comfortable with any of these guys. If forced to choose I would go with Bledsoe until I hear a definitive word on Culpepper's health. The key factor for Bledsoe is the addition of TO. That should help his stats in a big way...or could lead to fights on the sideline.
Ilov80s 0 Posted July 26, 2006 Bledsoe had a good 05 finishing as the 8th best QB. He has amazing weapons: TO has the talent to finish as one of the top 3 WRs every year, Glenn was the 12th best WR last season, Witten was the 6th best TE, and JJones is a solid pass catching option. All signs point to Bledsoe being a top 5 option this year.

J-Money 4 Posted July 26, 2006 For this season only, I'd have to go with Bledsoe. Culpepper is in a new system, is coming back from a terrible knee injury, and he still isn't playing with Moss. i thought it was basically the same system (linehan's influence)
Kilroy 0 Posted July 26, 2006 Bledsoe - He's healhty. Doesn't miss games often and has Terrell Owens. Unless Jones/Barber push the 2,000 yard mark, Bledsoe should have nearly 4,000 yards passing. He doesn't throw high TD totals often, but I think he should be good for 25 or more this year. Culpepper - Assuming he's healthy, there's plenty of reasons to take him over Trent Green. If he starts week 1 one, I'd still be a little concerned about his knee acting up ,and that's why I'd take Bledsoe over him, but Green wouldn't even be in the same teir as Culpepper. Green - He isn't in Dick Vermiel's system anymore. He's still a solid QB, but say good-bye to his routine 3800-4200 yard seasons. The Chiefs won't put up as many points either, and Larry Johnson is likely to see most of the TDs. He still has Gonzalez at TD, so he'll should reach 20-24 TDs, but his yardage is gonna drop to somewhere around 3600.
Let Da Big Dog Eat 40 Posted July 26, 2006 I would go CPep in a close race over Bledsoe. DullAss's O line worries me a little with Statue Bledsoe. Trent just does not throw enought TD passes for me. His WR corps is worthless with no red zone targets since they seem to have forgotten about Tony G.
Kilroy 0 Posted July 26, 2006 i thought it was basically the same system (linehan's influence) There's expected to be similarites, but it won't be the exact same approach/system. Mularkey is saying he wants to use more short passes and will suppossedly focus more on the run. I know Culpepper and Chambers can produce, but Brown still has to prove some things. In the end, I think Culpepper should be good for at least 3700 yards if he starts week 1 with around 25 TDs.
Vince44 205 Posted July 26, 2006 Bled over Pepper, no questions asked.
harken34 0 Posted July 26, 2006 Funny thing is that I have both Culpepper and Drew on a keeper league. So I hope both kick some ACE this year
