Ravens 03 0 Posted July 30, 2006 Back off the wagon again huh??? I am not drinking during the week - except for 1 night - Wednesday. No sense in going into this too fast. I think I've lost a lb. or 2. So who wants some Ravens Wood '03 wine?

sawilson 1 Posted July 31, 2006 How is that more than 1/2 the week? I remember him saying before he is drinking during the weekends, Fri - Sun, then add one night a week to it and that is 4 days a week which is over half a week.
Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted July 31, 2006 You guys must all be total wine retards. Ravenswood is actually a good wine. It does not go for $9 a bottle even on a good day. You must have been purchasing your other something similar to one of your other logins. Cumguzzlerswood?

You must have been purchasing your other something similar to one of your other logins. Cumguzzlerswood? I bought it at a huge liquor store here - the lowest prices on earth. I checked - $8.99 bottle. I remember him saying before he is drinking during the weekends, Fri - Sun, then add one night a week to it and that is 4 days a week which is over half a week. Weekend runs from Friday 6PM to Sunday 6PM. And 2 on Wednesday night. That's close to 1/2 the week. Those are the ALLOWED days, and I can always do less, right? Might be the best price on the face of the Earth, but you may want to consider how they store it. Ravenswood (even a Zinfandel blend) is going to be $11 a bottle at a bare minimum. If you get if for $9, then enjoy.

It's a Cabenet Savignon [sP ?] And it's the best liquor store ever in terms of price and it's huge. Beltway Liquors in Towson Ask any Baltimore Geek. It's well known for price and selection. Their lower end I've seen for 9 - 10 on sale. Their Sonoma selections can be well over 20. Enjoy!

[zombie] 0 Posted July 31, 2006 if i recall, the cabernet sauvignon is particularly good. the others i've had were decent. in any event, $9/bottle sounds like a steal.
Brown Eyed Girl 1 Posted July 31, 2006 I have had Ravenswood several times and like it very much. I have tried both the Merlot and the Cab. Though both are good, I prefer the Cab. $9 sounds about right. I've seen it here in California for as high as $12, but I have purchased it for $8.99 on sale before. Also: Went to the movies lastnight to see 'You, Me and Dupree' - I noticed they were drinking Ravenswood wine in a few of the scenes. Saw 2 bottles sitting on the kitchen sink in one scene and then on the dinner table in another. Anyway, good choice Ravens! Enjoy!
