I bought it at a huge liquor store here - the lowest prices on earth.

 

I checked - $8.99 bottle.

 

 

I remember him saying before he is drinking during the weekends, Fri - Sun, then add one night a week to it and that is 4 days a week which is over half a week.

 

Weekend runs from Friday 6PM to Sunday 6PM.

 

And 2 on Wednesday night.

 

That's close to 1/2 the week. Those are the ALLOWED days, and I can always do less, right?

Ravenswood is a decent wine. They have a wide range of price selection. Their lower end I've seen for 9 - 10 on sale. Their Sonoma selections can be well over 20. Enjoy!

i've seen that wine a lot, never tried it though. the deli near me has some on prominent display near the entrance. might give it a try next time i stop in.

if i recall, the cabernet sauvignon is particularly good.

 

the others i've had were decent.

 

in any event, $9/bottle sounds like a steal.

I have had Ravenswood several times and like it very much. I have tried both the Merlot and the Cab. Though both are good, I prefer the Cab.

 

$9 sounds about right. I've seen it here in California for as high as $12, but I have purchased it for $8.99 on sale before.

 

Also: Went to the movies lastnight to see 'You, Me and Dupree' - I noticed they were drinking Ravenswood wine in a few of the scenes. Saw 2 bottles sitting on the kitchen sink in one scene and then on the dinner table in another.

 

Anyway, good choice Ravens! Enjoy!
