I've seen his name thrown around as looking impressive, but I've yet to find any proof that he has a shot at making the team. Anyone have any links that has Shanny talking about him?

 (my son wanted me to put a dancing banana on....gotta keep him happy)

There was a article a week or so back where Shanny said he was really impressed with him and said Mike Bell is right in the mix. I think this thing will sort out during the preseason. If Bell looks good in the preseason games I think he has a serious shot at being the starter.

So 100 divided by 3 rbs now = 33.333333333333333333333 percent for EVERYONE

yessssssssss

Mike Bell has been running strong but is somewhat slow. Not able to take it to the next level after hitting the hole. He has been better than Cobbs though all through camp. Cobbs has been 90% bad (one good day).

Curiosity.....is Cecil Sapp slated to start at FB? If so, isn't that where Mike Anderson was supposed to go before his explosion as the feature back.

If you can accurately predict what is gonna happen with the Denver backfield platoon every year, you would be crowned....."Fantasy Rain Man"....genius of all fantasy geeks!

Here is how I see the Denver backfield.

- On all accounts Cobbs has sucked arse

- We have all seen Dayne suck it up for 6 years now. The guy has never been good enough to be a feature back.

- Tatum Bell has averaged 5.3 ypc over his 2 year career and has shown great potential. He may not ever become a feature back, but he has proven valuable. With Mike Anderson gone, it would make sense that Tatum receives more carries then in 05. If Bell gets a 30% increase in his carries, then he would run for an approximate 1200 yards and 10 TDs.

- Mike Bell is an uknown, but seems to really be distinguishing himself in camp. He is a big strong back with limited speed- sounds like Mike Anderson.

It might be muddy early in the year, but I expect Mike Bell to eventually take over the Dayne's spot. Here is how I would breakdown the carries:

- Dayne 73

- M Bell 182

- T Bell 210

We will see Dayne and M Bell share the role that M. Anderson had last year. Tatum will have a very similar role as 05, but will be trusted with more carries. Based on that- stay away from Dayne. Take Tatum in the 3rd or 4th and scoop up Mike Bell late.

Cedric Cobbs will get 370 carries

I just find it odd -and funny- that when you come across a dude with the exact same name as you (Mike Bell)...you kinda feel that you want him on your fantasy team.

Has anybody else had this dilemma?

Yeah, I was very glad to finally have Chris Chambers on my team last year.... and yes, Mike Bell has been doing very well in training camp, but then again, Shanahan has his own world when it comes to this...

Do you think there is some guy in Mississippi that has the name of....Ladainian Tomlinson.....and demands that he gets to draft the guy with the same name as him?

And what are the chances that there is another Anquan Boldin out there or TJ Houshmandzadeh

Yes. This is why I drafted Díck Trickle on my fantasy NASCAR team last year.

Not sure if anyone has posted this yet...just a blurb about Mike Bell in today's Denver Post.

Mike Bell climbs into contention

By Bill Williamson

Denver Post Staff Writer

The most eye-opening player in the first week of the Broncos' training camp? Mike Bell, who worked his way into the mix for the starting tailback job.

The undrafted rookie free agent from the University of Arizona has been a surprise thus far, and he could work his way up the depth chart this week. Bell has shown he fits Denver's running style, and some in the organization have compared his performance in camp to Terrell Davis' in 1995.

If Bell has another strong week of practice, he likely will get significant playing time in the preseason opener Friday at Detroit, where he can show the team if he is ready to compete with Tatum Bell and Ron Dayne for the starting tailback job. Denver coach Mike Shanahan often lauded Bell for his work and strong running style in camp.

Bell was projected to be a mid-round pick, but a poor 40-yard dash time at the NFL combine and his pro day hurt his chances. Denver signed him and gave him a $20,000 signing bonus shortly after the draft.

Bell is a Denver native and a lifelong Broncos fan.

"I just want to give everything I have and compete," Bell said.

How come I hear that Ron Dayne is the starter as of right now? I don't see why he's supposedly ahead of T Bell on the depth charts after last year. T Bell was pretty awesome, did he do something wrong (or did Dayne do something right) to cause that apparent switch in their depth?

I am just going to draft RB Bell from Denver and see if my league makes me say which one. Maybe I can get a two for this draft.
