ElvisMcCoy 0 Posted August 18, 2006 I could care less how much people make. I am however interested in WHAT people do for a living. Like the repo man down in So Cal. I use to repo cars in MS, AL, & LA. You wanna talk about interesting? I've seen sh!t you would not believe! I currently work as a systems engineer for a Wireless carrier in Charlotte, NC. jmueller44 0 Posted August 18, 2006 Depends on how good of a year profit wise "my" company does. That affects quarter and year end bonus. My bonus is equal to about 1/3 of my salary usually. Last year, my taxes said I made roughly $ 60k (Wife and I together = about $ 120k)

Parkers99 0 Posted August 18, 2006 I make about $2000 a year off fantasy football & small NFL wagers. The money I make at work doesn't matter; It all goes to the wife & daughter anyway... So here's to hoping I make a lot more on FF this year!
shasha 0 Posted August 18, 2006 The only correct answer here: Not nearly enough. I did pretty good this year with my part time stuff and should break $130K with a nice bonus in November. That puts me just above trailer park status here. The wife doesn't work (my decision) so the extra stuff sucks, but pays way too good to pass up. 5 years to retirement though and we are sitting fair, not great, but not bad. Sell the house and move somewhere that is affordable and work at a liquor store part time or something and just relax.

lowman 4 Posted August 18, 2006 How much coin you make is meaningless. It is what you do with it,which is important.Eventually you need to put yourself in a postion where you don't work for your money, but let your money work for you.

famousb 11 Posted August 18, 2006 He's not contending that there is no difference, he's saying that if you make 100K there isn't a state you should have trouble affording to live in... this is true... i guess i was just looking more at the "quality" of living, as opposed to just living... lord knows most of us we're college students at one point where we found ways to live off $20 a week and still have a good time... man do i miss penny draft nights...
