phillybear 366 Posted October 8, 2006 I really feel like the tide is turning, with some positive scores in my games. Col St covers. East Carolina will probably cover So Flor score a TD early in the 2nd half. Let's get some mother focking momentum.
phillybear 366 Posted October 8, 2006 Repost... Overall College YTD: 102-78-4; +45.17 units Subset: 2 unit plays or higher: 42-25-1; +41.72 units Saturday All for 1 unit, unless indicated otherwise. In time order. I will be adding more, upgrading, and inevitably putting in some alcohol driven 1st and 2nd Half plays during the games tomorrow. Tomorrow morning, if I change anything, I'll include an edit at the bottom of this post. But I am sure I will be adding throughout tonight. I appreciate all the kind words from you knuckleheads, but when I go on a losing streak, you'll learn to dislike me. Hopefully we can delay that for a while longer. Early Penn St (-3) LOSER Western Michigan (-4) for 3 units LOSER!!!!! North Carolina (+19) LOSER Texas A&M (-1.5) WINNER Kent (-24) for 3 units LOSER!!!!! Buffalo (+4) LOSER Tulane (Moneyline@+115) WINNER Air Force (-2.5) LOSER Mississippi St (+21) for 2 units LOSER!! Stanford (+29) for 2 units WINNER!! Florida (-1) for 2 units WINNER!! Washington (+19) WINNER Georgia Tech (-14) LOSER Oklahoma St (-2.5) LOSER Cincinnati (-6.5) LOSER Baylor (+5) WINNER New Mexico St (PK) for 3 units LOSER!!!!! OVER NMSt/Idaho (61) for 3 units LOSER!!!!! Colorado St (-17.5) for 2 units WINNER!! East Carolina (-6.5) WINNER Early summary, for my drunken accounting skills.. Overall 8-12; -11.95 units 2 unit plays or higher: 3-5; -9.4 units Ugly, ugly, ugly. Adding New Mexico 2nd H (+3)@-115 for 3 units Wyoming is on a grueling traveling schedule. New Mex has improved every single game this year, and should win this game going away.
phillybear 366 Posted October 8, 2006 Adding UTEP (-3.5)@-115 for 2nd H for 3 units. Without the starting QB for SMU, they are offensively inept.
phillybear 366 Posted October 8, 2006 Adding.... Parlay Hawaii 1st H (-7.5) and No Illinois 1st H (-7) 3 units to win 7.33 units Yep. I am taking No Illinois on the Sunday game.

GiantsRule 0 Posted October 8, 2006 A nothing day for me 13-12-1 Have Nevada +12 remaining. Good night! Ditka, if a bad week for you is breaking even, that's damn impressive. Thanks to Yer Mom's suggestion of Florida-LSU Under in the first half, I broke even today. However, I took a couple of plays I thought looked decent (New Mexico State and Western Michigan) after saying my card was "locked for the day." Once again, had a great run going into the night games and then went 1-4; that should tell me to quit after 4 p.m. on Saturdays! Going for one late play on a whim: Nevada ML (1st quarter) (+220) Was going to go for the Nevada ML (for the game), but philly seemed to confident. Plus, I have no desire staying up until 3-3:30 a.m. just to see if I cashed or not.

phillybear 366 Posted October 8, 2006 Awful day, topped by Hawaii blowing a 20 point lead to get backdoored by Nevada. Hawaii's fumble at the Nevada goal line didn't help either. On the day: 16-19; -13.65 units 2 unit or higher plays: 7-10; -12 units Overall College YTD: 118-97-4; +31.52 units Subset: 2 unit plays or higher: 49-35-1; +29.72 units Sunday Pending Parlay 3 units to win 7.37 units Hawaii 1st H (-7) and Northern Illinois 1st H (-7) Northern Illinois (-13.5) for 3 units Good luck to all. needmoremoney 0 Posted October 9, 2006 Added a few plays from philly-goodluckcharm-bear, who i have quietly followed for a few years.... I rarely play o/u in college football, but couldn't resist making a small play on my alma mater... Cal's running on full cyclinders following their embarassing loss at Tennessee. Longshore has the confidence to make throws to his Hawkins, Jackson or even Lynch. Oregon prides themselves on their front lines and have gotten a good number of sacks, but they arent that effective against the run. Cal will find some open holes for Lynch (actually, Lynch will find his own holes) to keep the defenses honest and make some nice gains downfield. Cal's passing offense and QB is a lot more potent than the Sooner's who put up 30+ points. Oregon's got a mobile QB thats also been leading their team to many points this season. Cal's secondary has not been as strong this year and I believe that Dixon's mobility and Duck's potent offense will put up at least 4 TDs in this game. I also am not a big fan of betting one high profile games, so I'll just put a little on the shootout and enjoy listening to a back and forth game at the campfire this weekend. Ok, i guess i'll finally make a post after riding on the great luck of everyone else... 1H Tulsa -3 1 unit LOSER Tulsa -5 3 units WINNER Tulsa 2H -3 2 units WINNER NC State +10 1 unit WINNER Utah -2 1 unit WINNER 2H Utah PK 3 units WINNER 1H Mid. American Chewy 98 Posted October 9, 2006 Overall64-47-5 +20.945 units 2+ plays 13-11-1 +5.995 units My Saturday card: Penn St. -3 LOSER Syracuse +7 LOSER W. Mich -4 LOSER Arkansas +14.5 WINNER Kent -24 2 units LOSER Stanford +29.5 WINNER Miss. St. +21 3 units LOSER Washington +19 2 units WINNER Bowling Green +35.5 WINNER Georgia Tech -14 LOSER Florida -1 WINNER Kansas St. ML +126 WINNER New Mex. St. PK 2 units LOSER Colorado St. -17.5 WINNER E. Carolina -6.5 2 units WINNER Kentucky +4.5 LOSER Tex Tech -4 LOSER C. Mich ML +122 WINNER Wash St. -3 WINNER S. Fla -6.5 WINNER New Mexico PK LOSER Iowa St. +7 LOSER Hawaii -11 1.5 units LOSER couple notes on the big 12 games i picked: Tex Tech -4 LOSER (Mizzou has now proven itself to me) I'm not on the missouri bandwagon yet. they have played a soft schedule and still have a lot of problems turning the ball over. this will easily be the best pass def mizzou has seen, as well as the toughest road test to date. Basically i'm asking pinkle and the tigers to prove to me they've turned the corner after 5 years of always falling apart. tech on the other hand is tested with a road win at a&m and a game against tcu (which really woke them up). they also have a sick homefield adv, esp. at night which this game is. Iowa St. +7 LOSER (iowa st is worse than i thought) Iowa St. is your classic play to the level of your comp. team. texas is the only team that blew them out but the clones hung around till the 2nd half(isu covered). Iowa st has won the last two games at home against nebraska and this is a fairly big rivalry game. nebraska i believe got exposed last week in their secondary to a mediocre kansas offense to the tune of 400+ yards passing. iowa st really hasn't broken out on offense like a lot of people thought this season but this could be where it begins. this game should be quite a shootout and i think the home team keeps it close all the way and wouldnt surprise me if they won. Kansas State ML +126 WINNER!! (analysis was spot on here, guess the team you know best is your own) The kansas state pick is somewhat homerish, i'll be attending this game tomorrow. ksu has played excellent on defense, esp when you consider how long they've been on the field and the many times they've had to defense the short field due to an absolutely atrotious offense. so bad that they are plugging in their blue chip true freshman qb this week to start. dude is 6-6 245lbs cannon for an arm. but a turnover machine in early action thusfar. he hasn't had a great opportunity only having come in down big and teams already blitzing like crazy. the ksu offensive line has been suspect and hasn't opened up any holes for a running game. so why am i picking ksu? well that cannon arm will finally test teams deep, something the 6th year senior meier couldnt do with his rebuilt shoulder. this should back off the 8/9 man fronts and get the team moving. the key will be reducing redzone turnovers, they had 3 last week at baylor, a game they lost despite outgaining them. oklahoma st on the other hand is great on offense and ok on def. they did manage to lose at houston after beating up 3 patsies. its hard to say where they are at. i'm not sure they suddenly grow up and win a big 12 game on the road. should be a close game and i think that plays to the home team and the better defense's favor. i doubt this convinces anyone but its why i made the pick. Saturday 11-12 -4.022 units 2+ unit plays 2-3 -3.35 units Week 14-13 -1.072 units Overall 75-59-5 +16.923 units 2+ plays 15-14-1 +2.635 units couldn't make it 4 winning weeks in a row...multi-unit games killed me. at least kstate came back and won, that game was hella awesome. frosh qb led us from 10 down with less than 5 min in the game to win (and cover!)!
