Not sure what I'm doing in the TCU game yet. Perhaps something in live betting.

Hey, baseball hedge question for my fellow degenerates: I took the Padres-Cardinals and Twins-A's series to go 4 games (about 2:1 odds). Thought those were the two closest matchups with the best chance of a split before it changed locations. Now both are looking at potential sweeps.

 

I'm a big believer in hedging my bets to minimize/eliminate loss. I'm pretty sure the Cardinals have this sewn up so I'm going to have to lay serious lumber on the Cards' ML to hedge. But I'm thinking of letting it ride in the Twins game because of Oakland's inability to close out a playoff series. However, the fact that Radke's arm is ready to fall off has me thinking that I should just pay the -144 and not take any chances.

 

My question is: Is either matchup worth letting the bets ride, or should I hedge both since the sweeps are imminent?

Actually, I got the total for TCU/Utah at 41.5 on Bodog. The line dropped before kickoff. Scoresandodds had it at 40.5 at kickoff.

It actually means you must win straight up or lose by 2 points or less.

 

If you bet on the team playing against the team with the "minus odds", you're actually getting that number of points in your favor.

TCU is getting +2.5 in that instance. So whatever the final score is, add 2.5 pts to the TCU final score. TCU can lose by 2 pts and still cover. With a line like that, root for TCU to win the game, and erase all doubt.

Hey, did you sign up? I never heard back from you. Did you give someone else the referral?

 

You need to be very quick when trying to place a live bet. You have to constantly click the link for "Football" and then wait for the current day to appear at the top of the list (in this case, "Thursday"). Be careful not to click "refresh". That will only take you to the home page and not where you need to be.

 

You then need to quickly process what you want to take and put it in. It's a lot easier to do during timeouts or in between possessions. You can get in on a line in between downs, but if you don't have a rapid fire trigger finger, you'll likely lose out.

 

If it disappears, it's only temporary. Keep clicking on "Football" and Olympic will eventually put the new lines up.

Utah is in complete control of this game. Their offense and defense look sharp. TCU looks bad. The Utah QB Ratliff looks very sharp. Utah should be up more. Whatever. I am taking Utah to continue to blow out this TCU team, like they did to other opponents whenever they smelled an advantage.

I should add my .02 into this thread. Michigan will torch the Spartans Saturday. I don't think the "mainstream"/Vegas realizes that this is a completely different Michigan team.
