GiantsRule 0 Posted October 7, 2006 Add Texas A&M to the games I've written off as losses. Why can't good luck streaks continue for a whole season?!?
cyclone24 1,913 Posted October 7, 2006 Well crap.... Do i go against my alma mater (Iowa State) who is getting 7 points at home vs nebraska. Or do i have some faith in our patheticness and think Nebraska can cover? *sigh*

GiantsRule 0 Posted October 7, 2006 Because even if you win, you feel like crap. And if your team pulls off an upset, you lose money. Sometimes I'll bet against my team as big favorites, but never as underdogs. Exactly. It doesn't speak much of how much of a fan someone is when they are willing to bet against them which means you want your favorite team to lose. Worse, if your favorite team doesn't lose, you lost money in the process! It's almost as bad as those fantasy players that put more emphasis on their fantasy team vs. the real team. If I'm playing against Tiki Barber, I want him to get like 200 yards and 3 TDs; my "fake" teams are secondary. Anyone else with Pittsburgh fearing the backdoor cover? Yer mom 2 Posted October 7, 2006 Strange morning, guess I should be greatful to get a push on the Clemson total. Auburn 2nd half loser, should have seen coming with Arkansas running like they had 1996 Cowboys O-line and Emmitt back there in the 1st half. Hard to pass up #2 team in country at home to just win the game for a winning bet, oh well. Kinda reluctant to throw again here but the LSU Florida game should be pretty tight in the first half exchanging blows getting a feel of one another. Playing the under 21 for a Benji. Good luck!! Found Under 21.5 at one of my outs so I'm with you on this one. Good luck buddy! C'mon defense (and then let Florida turn it on in the 2nd half!) Because I'm betting on THREE Texas teams his weekend, I never even realized that for the past three hours I was watching Texas A&M (-2) and not Texas Tech ('4; game hasn't started yet). I kept thinking I had A&M at -4 and thought for sure the game was over. Even watching the final seconds and seeing them score the TD and then covert on the 2-point conversion, I wrote it off as a sure loss. When I logged your Under 1st half bet, I looked at my pending wagers and almost fell off my couch when I saw "Texas A&M -2 [pending]"! I so needed that after the West. Michigan disaster. This also makes up (somewhat) for my faux pas last week where I thought I hit a 3-team parlay because Tennessee hit the over in the final minutes, but Pittsburgh went scoreless in the 4th quarter and I actually lost. In hindsight, I'm glad I made the mistake since I would have had a heart attack watching them score with less than 30 seconds on the clock and needing a 2-point conversion (which they hit, but the anticipation leading up to it would have royally sucked!) This is f'n fantastic! Woo-hoo!!!

GiantsRule 0 Posted October 7, 2006 Navy up 24-7 over Air Force in the 4th, despite having 1 completed pass for 8 yards. And now Air Force is driving. Please don't celebrate until games are over. ANYTHING can (and does) happen. Recent cases in point: New Orleans vs. Carolina last week Texas A&M vs. Kansas today
Yer mom 2 Posted October 7, 2006 Everyone pay attention: Tim Tebow is going to be a STAR in Urban Meyers offense at Florida. No doubt, he came in for a bit in the 2nd half against Kentucky and completely sparked that offense.

GiantsRule 0 Posted October 7, 2006 And now Air Force is driving. Please don't celebrate until games are over. ANYTHING can (and does) happen. Recent cases in point: New Orleans vs. Carolina last week Texas A&M vs. Kansas today UPDATE: Air Force TD with plenty of time left. Navy only up by 7. Expect a disappointment if you have Navy. And Air Force recovers the fumble. F'n lovely.

GiantsRule 0 Posted October 7, 2006 And AF just recovered on side kick!!! Always have to sweat em out!!! Eh, but it's worth celebrating prematurely. Nothing can possibly go wrong. GiantsRule 0 Posted October 7, 2006 Game over 24-17 Navy cover again!!! they completed one pass!! ONE PASS AND WON! Cashed biggest play of the day (Navy ML). Cashed a miracle ticket in Texas A&M. Just hoping to keep the 1st half in the Florida-LSU game under 21.5.
Hurricane Ditka 0 Posted October 7, 2006 Hi Welcome to last week!! One week is a fluke against Kentucky. Two weeks in a row and against a defense like LSU is different.
The Shepherd 10 Posted October 7, 2006 Hi evrybody. Question: If it says Wash +10 second half, does that mean the score is 0-0 starting with the 2nd half or is that the adjusted line for the whole game?
Yer mom 2 Posted October 7, 2006 Fock this, refs just handed Fla that touchdown, lousy roughing the passer call on Leak. So gay. Made the 1st half total a damn push, 3 bets today.....2 friggin pushes. CORRECTION!! LSU - 0.5 2nd half All over it, 2 Benjis! Excited to see if I can get buried by the zebras again, cacks. Good Luck!!

phillybear 366 Posted October 7, 2006 I can't catch a break today. Couldn't even get a push with Miss St. Focking West Virginia returned a punt for a TD with a focking minute focking left.
GBFAVRE4 0 Posted October 7, 2006 I can't catch a break today. Couldn't even get a push with Miss St. Focking West Virginia returned a punt for a TD with a focking minute focking left. UNREAL!! I was wondering what happened in that game....besides my jaw hitting the floor when 2 TDs were scored by WV in the last 3 mins......
Hurricane Ditka 0 Posted October 7, 2006 There are 4 outstanding freshman QBs this year: Juice Williams IL Grothe Southern Florida Colt McCoy Texas Tim Tebow Florida
The Shepherd 10 Posted October 7, 2006 Is anybody else looking at Oregon +3 and Missouri +6 as good bets?
Hurricane Ditka 0 Posted October 7, 2006 OU +4 over Texas OU is the better team, the wrong team is getting the points. Last year it was Young and no Peterson. This year it's Peterson and no Young. Don't be stupid and take the Horns. Who is stupid? Haters, need to go to the back of the line!
phillybear 366 Posted October 7, 2006 Well, with a halftime score of 28-13, the over looks pretty decent in the New Mex St/Idaho game. The problem is that Idaho has that lead. Link to radio, if anyone cares
phillybear 366 Posted October 7, 2006 Cinc about to kick a FG with 2 minutes to go and cover. Nope. Roughing the kicker. And Cincy runs out the clock. Oklahoma St blows a late 10 point lead, and don't score from Kansas St 20 at the end of the game. I expect Baylor to not cover in OT either. Kent put in the back up QB, up only 18, and had the ball at Temple's 19 with about 4 minutes to go. Turn over on downs. Lots of bad breaks all day long. lots of close losses. Law of averages, I guess.
chiz3 1 Posted October 7, 2006 Colorado d is horrible. They were up 7 in OT had Bayor 4th and 7 at the 10 and let them score a TD. Baylor up 3 in OT> Looks good for those that took Baylor. Game over. Colorado 3rd and 6 from the 21, noly has to get a few for a FG to tie, decide to throw the ball....INT. ANother loser, has not been a good day or week for that fact. phillybear 366 Posted October 7, 2006 Not only is New Mex St playing their worst offensive game this year, how the fock can the two of the worst defenses in college be pitching a shutout deep into the second half. I need So Flor and Hawaii just to hope to break even today. What a lousy day. I am very, very sorry to anyone that took any of my picks based on my advice. I really sh!t the bed today. This can be a very, very humbling hobby. Fock it. I am going to get very drunk tonight. Starting....now.
Yer mom 2 Posted October 7, 2006 All enthusiam lost for any more wagering today. A seriously blah 1-2-2, Michigan came through. Should just stick with my picks and aviod the damn 2nd half lines!!! Good luck guys
brzrboy 0 Posted October 7, 2006 I just got home from work to see that Clemson scored 24 4th Q points to get me a push on the over. eeesh. I did win the 1st Q bet, and I passed on the halftime bet. I'll crack one open with ya Philly. Just remember to whisper to your drink of choice....."You're the only one that understands."

phillybear 366 Posted October 8, 2006 Looks like Col St just went 95 yards with a defensive TD to go up by 28. Maybe, maybe, maybe, it's a turning of the tide.
phillybear 366 Posted October 8, 2006 The drunken bets are flowing... Adding... South Florida (-2)@-105 for the 2nd H for 3 units Arkansas St (-4.5) for the 2nd half for 3 units You have to consider that So Flor could have won the Big East last year. Then they walked into U Conn, and lost 15-10. Big revenge situation, that should carry over into the 2nd half. UL Monroe sucks. Really, really, really sucks. Arkansas St to rebound in the second half.
Hurricane Ditka 0 Posted October 8, 2006 This is the bloodbath I've been dreading. Pittsburgh fumbles then can't covert a 4th down on the Cuse 20 and Cuse driving. The West. Mich. game was over three minutes into it. Texas A&M looks like horsesh!t! I hope this improves soon. Question for Ditka: I NEVER question any of your plays. If something doesn't look right, I don't take it. But I can't figure out why you're on the Stanford team Over. I was about to lay money on it (at Over 11.5) until I looked and saw that Stanford has scored 10 points or less in 3 of 4 games. Hard enough to see why you expect them to put up at least 1 TD and a pair of FGs, much less why you mad it a 2X play. Well as it turns out it was a bad play. When I was listening to a pregame show they were saying that Notre Dame was hoping to put that game away at the half because Charlie W. wanted to rest his starters in the second half on both sides of the ball. That is also why I took Stanford and the points. 1-1 isn't too bad.
