Giants Fan 85 Posted February 18, 2007 That's not fair ... New York has 4 MLB and NFL TEAMS, plus the Ranger's .... You gotta measure it ... each team by what the City has ... or change the requirements. Tucson, Arizona (we never asked for the Cardinals, remeber they WERE the Phoenix Cardinals at first) Arizona Wildcat basketball team: 23 straight years to the NCAA Tournament. That's an alltime record. One championship. The baseball team, has 3 national championships. The girls softball team has SEVEN! Yeah ... TUCSON! Bich. Nobody cares about the D-Backs in Tucson either. Sho Nuff 720 Posted February 19, 2007 For baseball, I started keeping tabs from 1903, the year of the first World Series. For the NHL, the starting point was 1917, when the league was formed. It was 1967 for the NFL, the year of the first Super Bowl, and for the NBA I started in 1946. Cities got credit for championships by teams that have folded or since moved -- providing that the victory came while the team still called the city home. Must have been a Bear's fan who decided to do this list...why else would he take when the NHL and NBA first started....but only use the Super Bowl for the NFL...which was around long before 1967? No doubt. That's kind of ridiculous, and ignores a large part of professional football's past.

To not include Green Bay in the list...yes, I think a Bears fan might. Or maybe a Cowboys fan... Not dwelling on the past? How long have Bears fans been talking about 85? Please... Mungwater 597 Posted February 19, 2007 Even if Green Bay's Championships were included, they would be number 10 on the list or so, but if you took the bears/cardinals, Chicago would be number 4.. I need to look it up, but I think the Pack would be number 10, but it still doesn't make any sense that any bears fan would sacrafice jumping to number 4 just because of green bay would jump to 10.
