donhaas 18 Posted November 19, 2007 These bumps were mostly for Sampdog... but I don't actually think it was a bad thing that the Packers didn't get Moss... but Sampy's comments were extremely ridiculous per usual.... That being said.... the Packers don't need Moss because they have Favre. For a lesser quarterback with a lesser arm like Brady, he is a godsend. He can just throw the ball up and Moss will get it like Culpooper used to do. It's a good chance (along with the blantant and classless 4th-quarter stat padding) for Brady to Culpepper his stats up which have been pretty medicroe going into this season. It's more of a risk for the Packers to take Moss because he is a low-character guy and the Packers are a high-character team... For a team like New England -- who cheat over and over to win, hit the QB in the knees with 10 seconds left in a blowout, run up the score in the 4th quarter like a bunch of a-holes, and have an a-hole for a coach who cheats on his wife, along with a bastard factory for a quarterback -- he fits in perfectly...... I was actually laughing because it's funny Actually, when I listing New England's low-character habits, I forgot to mention Wilfork's classless cheap shot on Losman which I hear that the New England defensive coaches teach at practice. My bad

And if you know anything of Don, you would realize most of that is a joke. But in no way is it out of jealous for the Patriots.
donhaas 18 Posted November 19, 2007 You'd think Tony Montana would have a thicker skin Unless that T is for Tina Montana I really do like the Patriots, TM... In fact, as cheaters go... I like them much more than Barry Bonds I just like to give them some guff... Their seven fans that were there before the millenium have been through a lot
Mad Brad 0 Posted November 19, 2007 None of it happened...but does not seem to hurt GB any. They are doing quite well right now without Moss. Sure, Moss would put up flashy stats...but would he be as happy in a game like last week where Favre hit 10 different WRs? Hindsight is always 20/20. When GB was going after Moss...the talk was about how bad he was and would be for them. When NE got him, all of a sudden, more people jumped aboard the Moss is back bandwagon. now everyone wants to look back and act as if they knew he would be lighting it up like that. And we know there was only a small percentage who believed that...look at his FF ADP for proof of how many people doubted him. Maybe the Packers could be the undefeated team right now instead of the Patriots... If they would have pulled the trigger on Moss... You will feel differently come January, if the Packers somehow make it to the Super Bowl, only to watch Moss and Brady shred their way to a Championship... Getting Moss might have set up the Packers to win the SB not just possibly play in it... They should have ponied up a 3rd round pick on draft day 1 last April for him... Fact is, when the Packers were on the clock in the 3rd, I thought they were making the deal right then.. But nope... Big mistake by TT, looking back now... MB ps. I traded J. Lewis for Randy Moss straight up in August, just before out keeper league draft... Now I'm laughing and he's
Cheesehead4 0 Posted November 19, 2007 If it was going to take their 3rd round pick to get Moss, I'm pretty happy that they didn't do it. With their 3rd pick, they got James Jones. I'm not saying he is going to be as good as Randy Moss, but he has performed very well so far (except for the 2 fumbles when they played Chicago) and he has many more years left in him and a much smaller price tag. If you look at Ted Thompson's philosophy, it has always been to build through the draft. I'd say he has done one heck of a job so far. 2 years ago, they finished 4-12, last year 8-8, this year who knows, but it will definitely be better than 8-8. How many other teams have turned it around that quickly without spending big bucks in free agency and just drafting well (for the most part). The only free agent that has been signed that even seems to be worth mentioning is Charles Woodson.
TMontana 0 Posted November 19, 2007 We = Pats fans. Because really this season has been a joke. It's football for christ sakes. We're gonna come out and punch you in the mouth and then slap your fat wife in the face. If you are not going to do anything will beat you and your wife senseless. Colts had a game plan and we went toe to toe. Leave the off the field antics to Sportcenter and drama queens.
The Big Deal 0 Posted November 19, 2007 I would love to see this happen. Just like the Bears keeping Grossman. This will set the Packers back even further. I love it two washed up guys on the same field. Hey call Jerry Rice he will come play too. This is like Packers fans on crack. I hope the Packers do this. Pleeeeeeeaaaaaaassssseeeee! That is what you are holding on to? And Moss might have focked it all up beyond belief and sent the young team into a tailspin with some of his old antics. Big mistake? His team is 8-1. He has 2 very good young WRs. He, at the time, thought he had a deal anyway (by some accounts) so why would he up the deal then? By other accounts, Moss was never coming to GB. I guess it was a big mistake by team after team after team who wanted nothing to do with Moss. I said it before the season. No matter what he does, good or bad, you cannot assume the same would happen on another team and in another situation.
t.j 35 Posted November 20, 2007 Four pages and you lame brains are still arguing about whether Moss should be a Packer? How about one of you take a timeout and explain to me what the Packers are going to offer in exchange for Randy that is worth it to the Raiders. Because Rodgers sure as hell isn't worth trading Moss for.

It's OK to come out and say "I was wrong about a player" You and many others thought Moss was past his prime, and all but done... But we now all realize, or at least the bright people do... That Moss is still a dominating player in the league... AND WOULD MAKE ANY TEAM BETTER IN THE LEAGUE !!!! Provided you have a good QB, and solid play from the O-line... MB ps. The Raiders had neither.... The Packers have both, as do the Patriots.... Get it ? or do I need to explain further ???
