Ever convert a natural gas dryer to propane or vice versa?

Recommended Posts

Tired of my electric dryer so I'm getting a gas one. However, I'm buying from a guy who had to convert his to propane. He says he's got the orifices  :pointstosky: to change it back to natural. Anyone attempt to do this? Sounds easy enough but meeeee-thane is not to be played with even if you are giving your SO a dutch oven.

Thoughts? TIA

We converted our dryer to methane, and while we've saved a ton of money, I'm tired of having to consume all the cheap beer, fried foods and beans to keep the mutherfucker going.

Dammit, I'm not going to ask you again if you had to change your orifice to accomplish this. :dunno:

Details man. Details.

a natural gas dryer? why would you need that? If you dry natural gas, does it become a solid?

Liquid gas is the one I'm worried about. Especially when I'm wearing my Don Johnson pants. CODE BROWN

Call the manufacturer. I believe it's just a change of tips.

Dude be careful with that propane crap. The propane folks always seem to forget to tell you that propane is much more dangerous than natural gas.

Make sure you have a big torch going when you start this project.

I'm actually converting it from a propane back to the original natural gas setup.
