Focking Duke gets a 6 seed. 8-9 in their own conference and awful down the stretch. 4 seeds ahead of Ga Tech who finished ahead of them in the ACC. Wow.

Looks like the RPI may carry more weight than we thought it did.

Truth of the matter is, though, that no seed other than the first and last 8 even matter. The other 48 teams could be thrown into a hat and the tourney wouldn't suffer one bit in quality or excitement.

I've picked everything right so far......32 to go. The best I've ever done is 64/65........we'll see how it goes.

Only 1 Big 12 team in so far.....they're not getting 5 for sure.....will they get 4?

Then Kansas wouldn't have a #1 seed. Just an inconsistent committee.

Looking like 3 to me.

HOLY CRAP!?!? ARKANSAS?!?!

Nope, there's Texas Tech. Four for the Big 12.

GT and Vandy have identical RPIs. Vandy a #6; GT a #10

BC finishes 3 spots ahead of Duke in the ACC. Duke loses on Thursday of teh ACC tournament. BC makes it to Saturday. Duke with a better seed. Fock this committee.

East is soft. Yuck. The bottom of that bracket especially.

Vanderbilt as a #6 seed?? Please.

K State, Drexel, AF, Stanford, and Missouri St are all out. All the bubble spots have been filled.

Doesn't matter, dude. Simply doesn't matter. Most every team between 3-14 is essentially the same.

Too bad for Drexel and AF. Tough to make the body of work argument when those two teams get left out.

People ought to be howling mad that Arkansas got in this tournament.

7-9 in SEC West....soft run to SEC finals and a blowout loss. Mind boggling.

Meanwhile...

Xavier in...but BYU is a rough draw.

Nevada punished hard.

Stanford in.

No kidding. That's a bad call. Of course, USC is a fraud as a #5, so I guess it evens out in a weird way.

Drexel does what the committee asks..and gets the cold shoulder. I said Syracuse could be left out.

Mid-majors got jammed period.

I want to hear somebody explain why/how Texas Tech is in and Kansas State is out. Also, STANFORD???? No way.

I got 63 of 66. Had Syracuse, Kansas State, and Missouri State in.....instead of Arkansas, Texas Tech, and Stanford.

Virginia a #4? Ridiculous.

They did tie for the ACC Championship.

Because K-State beat no one in the Big 12.

Looks like I had 63 of 65 (missed: Arkansas, Old Dominion, Drexel, Stanford).

Mid-majors really screwed. 6 at-large bids and two of the top ones play each other in round 1. Guess Nantz/Packer cant ###### this year.

2 things stand out

makes no sense.

Virginia as a #4?

I have a feeling that the injury to Goods (Stanford PG) really helped them as several of their losses were discounted.

Well, then the Big 12 should have just gotten three teams. I'm not advocating for Kansas State necesarily....but K-State smacked Texas Tech in the Big 12 tournament. Apparently, that was totally ignored. It shouldn't have been. It's ridiculous.

Agree on the mid-major screw jobs. No matter how well they do each and every year, the committee continues to put teams like Arkansas and Stanford in the field who shouldn't be there........

Mid-majors...6 at-larges and several games against EACH OTHER.

I don't disagree too much with Syracuse being left out, I thought they were being given far too much credit. Arkansas in was bad, Texas Tech in AND a 10 is bad. Drexel got screwed after doing exactly what the committee preaches year in year out.

A couple of comments as a Big East fan. Syracuse being left out is surprising, but not necessarily unwarranted. Marquette got screwed with an #8. Georgetown's bracket is very easy on paper.

There are some GREAT first round matchups:

Marquette (8) vs. Mich St. (9)

Butler (5) vs. ODU (12)

Notre Dame (6) vs. Winthrop (11)

UNLV (7) vs. Ga Tech (10)

Kentucky (8) vs. Nova (9)

Louisville (6) vs. Stanford (11)

Nevada (7) vs. Creighton (10)

BC (7) vs. Texas Tech (10)

Anybody care to give me a breakdown of Arkansas? I truly know nothing about them. Their record appears impressive, they have some good wins. They obviously made a run in the conference tourney, so they're hot. It helps us that they have a very long flight to get to Spokane.

Tough bracket for my Trojans, so pleased for Lod Stewart (our only tangible senior) and Nick Young (likely to declare).

Fight On!!

Beat the Hogs!!

I don't understand all the complaints about Drexel getting "screwed". Certainly a case can be made for them getting in, but I don't see how them not getting in means they got screwed. They're 1-4 against the three teams ahead of them in their own conference. I understand the committee preaches upgrading your out of conference schedule for mid major teams to get in, but they've never said that they will ignore your conference performance either. I think Drexel is a bubble team that got left out. I actually don't think any team can complain if they didn't get in. There was a lot of parity in college BBall this year and it was easy enough to solidify your position in the tournament if you were a good team.

Agree with you up until the Final Eight. Memphis and Texas A&M are both very good teams.

When you started seeing things like Wright State winning and Miami of Ohio banking in a prayer 3, the Drexel's of the world didn't have a chance.
