My girl was a manager at a bowling alley, so I bowled nightly, and my previous high score was only a 215. Then for whatever reason, the stars alligned and I bowled this night.

We lobbied to get it on the wall, but the wall was for league play only

 

Since then, my high score has only been in the 230's.

So you remember the exact scores of all 5 games when you were in Japan? Hell, I bowled my career high the other weekend and that was the only score I can remember from that night, and that was like 11 days ago. Either you have a photographic memory or you make stuff up. I'll take the latter.

I bowled when I was a youngin and had the same problem. I didn't have a strong enough strike ball so I didn't get many. Got really good at spares... my sheet would read 9/, 8/, 9/... which would get me in the 180s and 90s.

 

I didn't crack 200 until I got older, just because I got stronger. And I hadn't been bowling much, mostly blind squirrel nut words at that point.

when you bowl every day for 2 years, and I mean EVERY FOCKING DAY, sometimes a few times a day for at least 2-3 hours at a whack, you get really focking good.

But again, that was when I was in the military. I got out of the military july 2001. so it's been 6 years, and I've only bowled maybe a dozen times since.

My skills have diminished a bit. But I'm still pretty good.

there are so many topics that come through here that I don't post in, cause, well... I got nothing "special" to post, or something that is unique to post.

I use to be a really good basketball player, but anyone bragging about b-ball here, I got nothing to brag about, so I don't post.

I was a good football player when I was younger, but nothing special. So when people brag about football, I don't, cause I got nothing on them.

Same with hockey, hell, I am halfway decent skating, but I'd get destroyed if I tried hockey.

Same with musical instruments. I played the tenor sax, but that was 10+ years ago. I came in 2nd in a regional competition, but not 1st, so anyone saying how good they are at anything music related, I don't chime in, cause who likes being 2nd best, right?

There are so many topics where people wave their pr1cks in the air about how good they are at something, etc...

So it's inevitable that at some moment in time, some thread would come up about something that I was actually good at (I'm above average now, but I'd consider the average bowler to be around the 150 range. gotta take into consideration those who are happy to just break 100). So then I post about it. Same with the oral sex thing. I posted about how good I am with that. So that's 2 things out of countless things that I've said how good I am at it. That's not bad.
