fastfish 0 Posted May 15, 2007 In less than 6 months the clueless Demlibs have managed to earn an approval rating lower that W's. This bodes very well for the GOP in 2008 as the voters have already seen enough of the Surrender Now Dems in action....or should I say inaction. http://www.galluppoll.com/content/?ci=27589

wiffleball 4,790 Posted May 15, 2007 Although ratings are quite low, Americans have been more positive in their assessments of Congress this year than last year, when an average of just 25% approved of Congress. Whoops. Looks like "Thank you for being the worst" belongs to your frineds in the GOP Congress last year.
Toro 1 Posted May 15, 2007 Whoops. Man, that 4% jump from 25% to 29% really shows how effective the dems are. x 1,000000000000000,00000000
wiffleball 4,790 Posted May 15, 2007 Man, that 4% jump from 25% to 29% really shows how effective the dems are. ....or how pathetic the GOP was. Almost as bad as FF not being sharp enough to read his own materials.
Artist Formerly Known as Big O 0 Posted May 15, 2007 Isn't congress made up of both parties and does not the rating apply to the group as a whole?

I believe he was pointing out how much the dems were saying that they were going to change things when in reality, they suck balls too. Not as much as the reps, but pretty focking close. Toro 1 Posted May 15, 2007 No, the reality is the Republicans have demonstrated they can be just as ornery and obstructionist as the Dems. Republican: 25% - "They are doing a crappy job" Democrat: 29% - "It's still the republicans fault"

fastfish 0 Posted May 15, 2007 only Demlib kids who post here can look at a 29% approval rating for THEIR NEW MAJORITYCONGRESS and give it a I can promise you the Dems in power saw this Gallup and see their brief time as the majority slip sliding away. They were supposedly elected to bring change, promising bipartisanship and substantive action on our problems. What we've seen instead is bogus investigations into phony trumped up scandals and a stupid and hypocritical effort to de-fund our soldiers as they fight for US, attempting to micro manage the war from their seats in Washington and assuming in their arrogance to know more than the General who they ALL voted for to lead US in Iraq. THAT is why they are at 29% fools

Uh-huh 0 Posted May 15, 2007  It's soooooooooooo funny to watch the usual suspects flounder around, desperately trying to find things to complain about. Given you've never had the cojones to call out your precious W when he messes up, you certainly have abrogated your right to complain about the Dems in Congress. Translation to dumb-rightwinger-ese: shut the fock up.

Translation to dumb-rightwinger-ese: shut the fock up. Duh....are you willfully ignorant or does it come naturally? Duh..emotion icons are not wisdom..Duh..The issue at hand is public opinion showing that the DEM led Congress, after 6 months in charge, is today held in less regard than the man who the Dems want all to beieve, have spent 6 years saying, is Satan. Care to address that fact? ...Duh?..oh Duh?....duh

When will people realize that voting for the lesser of two evils will only get two evils? Both points are correct, and they are linked. I avoid posting much here because of all the partisan bickering, but it seems like more and more people are starting to get it. Neither party is doing enough for the American people, and both are straying farther and farther away from the values upon which our nation was founded. The two big parties' primary interest these days just seems to be maintaining control. They play politics rather than address issues that matter to the people (like illegal immigration for one, real tax reform for another). More Americans need to vote on principal, and at every level of government. I think we'd see a lot less Ds and Rs in elected office if more people took the time to evaluate the third party and Independent candidates out there. I think we'd see a lot less Ds and Rs in elected office if more people took the time to evaluate the third party and Independent candidates out there. there is some truth here but it's unreal...only Mayor of NY Bloomberg has a BILLION $$ of his own money to launch a realistic 3rd party run...some say he might do it. But the 2 party system is what we have. The choice between Hillarity Obama and Edwards as opposed to McCain, Rudy, Romney is pretty clear and they are not the same. The frustration comes when common problems are not addressed because of partisan bickering. The Dems got elected in 2006 by promising to work in a bipartisan way and to get things done. They told us a big lie...and 29% approval means the voters understand the big lie that is the Nancy Harry show in Congress. You can hate the GOP but when they promise tax cuts, you get tax cuts. When W says we are going to war with radical Islam, that is what happens. You can hate it but the GOP is the party that will act on critical issues...the Dems are the party WON'T DO anything but talk about how they love the poor, hate big business and want to surrender to jihad.
