DrJ 0 Posted June 12, 2007 good thing you did it over the weekend just look are your prize log, it's 25 per page. and calculate your percentage over 4 pages. i got 8/31 so about 25% it use to be 50%. so i don't think you can really farm anymore, like 200+ battles and increase ep and i'm #1 now with out beating jasieck a single time thanks drj never could've done it without you Yeah, I think they mustve realized that system wasn't going to work. They always go to the complete opposite end of the spectrum and break it the other way. I'm convinced that the reason it was so easy to get items for a short time is because some of the whine threads after the big update. And of course they realized they went overboard so now they have to completely gimp out everything. I've gone through 40 pages of the most recent awarded prizes, there was maybe 1 item that would help me. It was page after page of useless crap. 40 pages is what, 1000 prizes. I didn't see a single awesome heavy armor piece, a single great sword, more than 1 or 2 good amulets. And I know I'm buffed, so it's gonna be hard to improve, but they've basically made it impossible for anyone but the weakest guys to improve. I am probably somewhere around the 5th/6th most powerful character in the game. And it's going to be near impossible for anyone underneath to catch me, or for me to catch anyone above me. If they really wanna make this game cool, and make it a constant struggle for the top and endless fighting, they should make these items deteriorate and then find some middle ground in the item awards. Your Pristine Chest Piece becomes Polished. Then it becomes normal, tarnished, corroded, and then useless. Then you have to keep fighting to ensure you have good stuff, and the top guys would fluctuate based on who was most active and got the best items over xxx timeframe. Right now, good luck decking your character out as good as the top guys unless they alter the system such that everyone has to completely reequip. With what they've done now, there is about 0 incentive to fight. Might as well just refresh a bunch of screens and collect everpoints... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I guess they believe that people should fight their way up to the top and then just repeatedly battle the same 5 guys again and again. That's their idea of a game. And well, considering I know I can kick about everyone's asses except for about 3 and it's impossible for me to aquire anymore good items, that's not too fun. All I can do is just hit refresh every 10 minutes so I get more everpoints in the hopes that I'll find a needle in a haystack with one of them. Thrilling... Now that I can't get any items, what do I do? Just keep fighting dudes #3 - #8, who I know I can pummell, again and again and hope that a miracle happens and I get an item that makes me better able to fight dude #2 and #1? And what do I do if I get get said items? Just be #1 and beat up dude #2 all day long? Yeah, that's worth refreshing my screen an entire day over. There needs to be more to it, like a constant struggle to keep good equipment because all your stuff is corroding (like you would expect it would through battle). So there's some realistic chance of overtaking a guy that is sitting on the best of every piece that there is. And so there's a constant struggle among the top guys, who are always fighting to make sure they have good equipment or they will lose their rank... I guess what it amounts to is, I'm bored already. There's nothing left to do in this game, and clicking again and again and again knowing that there's really no chance whatsoever I'm going to get the 2 or 3 pieces I seek just isn't stimulating. Man I totally agreew with the items getting weaker over time. I think that would be a great tie in to the market idea. You could have your weapons, armor, etc repaired for a fee. I guess I am waiting to see how this market pans out. Hopefully they will have a better system for buying and selling items. I mean I have been getting rare items that would be kick azz for other guys, but I just can't use them. And what do I get for selling them? 15 EverPoints? but if you were to try to buy the exact same thing from the item shop, it would easily be over 300 EP's. I totally agree except for the skill points. I think that skill points should still be awarded for Rank III and maybe even Rank II prizes. Just get rid of them for Rank I prizes. You should really post this on the suggestions page. It is a whole lot better than this suggestion they got: I think that the addition of pets to the game would make the game not only different, but very fun, because in addition to your main character, you would have sub characters (the pets) to manage and do other activities with. I just cashed in 45, and while I didn't get any rare items, I got 5 uncommon items. Nothing I kept or can use, but maybe they're evening it out and moving away from all skill points. I'm f'n fed up with getting 1 f'n skill point.. and being discouraged from fighting for prize codes. What exactly is the point of the game for mid ranked players? Clearly the devs don’t like people farming, as the item frequency in prize codes has been adjusted to deter that. That’s all great and fine, but unless I’m missing something there are only two ways to get items. One, fight to get prize codes and two being do nothing until you have enough EPs to buy something in the shop.… and then hope the shop has the item you’re looking for. So if I’ve understood everything I’ve seen/read/heard on this site I should do one of the following: Log in as often as possible, click on random links (battle logs, character, forums, etc) basically anything but actually fighting more than once or twice a day. Just to keep building EPs up until I have a sufficient amount for a decent item in the shop. This also requires a fair amount of luck in the shop actually having an item you desire for sale. The problem here is it’s rather boring, if I wanted to wait around for a good sale I’d go sit in front of the mall. The other method would be to fight as often as possible, currently 30 times an hour at 100 percent, cashing in prize codes and keeping my fingers crossed that I get a decent item. Naturally you’d want to fight people you were pretty certain you could beat, since you’re looking for prize codes. You can call that farming if you want; I choose to call this choosing your opponent wisely being that the goal is to win. The problem here is out of the last 150 prize codes I cashed in 130 were skill points, and of the 20 items the best I got was a sword with damage of 8. Some great rank 1 prize codes there. Clearly the 130 skill points were an awesome prize, as I now have almost 700 extra skill points to do nothing with. So I’m left to wonder, what does one do if they actually want to improve their character? The dev team frowns on “farming” and I frown on sitting around collecting EPs. Despite my post, and likely tone, I actually enjoy the game.
