KayJay1971 238 Posted May 19, 2007 Also to answer a few questions: You get 1 battle credit every 15 minutes. You can only have a total of 24 battle credits total at any given time. Once you hit 24 you don't acrue any until you use them up. You can increase your magic, strength, agilit, etc by buying or earning (via prize codes) Jewelery and or charms. You can find them in the item shop and the inventory in the item shop changes every 3 hours (at like 8:10, 11:10, 2:10, 5:10 and so on). I would suggest saving your gold until you can buy a charm with +10 of whatever you are looking for. They are a lot more expensive, but if you buy something that ony has +5 strength for instance, you are eventually going to sell that off because the better weapons require more strength. You can advance in position or rank very rapidly because so many people have signed up and just do nothing. There are a lot of characters out there that are ranked 1000 or better that have litlle if any battles under their belts. My suggestion is this: Battle the guy above you and then above him and so on. By the time you are ready to break into the top 200 your character is going to be badazz. And don't worry, it doesn't matter who you battle when it comes to prize codes. They are completely random whether you battle the guy ranked #1000 or #1. One other tip I learned from lurking at the FBG thread on this: Get 4 weapons in the offense category and only equip those 4. Replece weapons as you get better ones. The reason is most weapons only can be used once every 3 turns. This also seems to help your rating also. Hope this all helps out a bit. KayJay1971 238 Posted May 19, 2007 One other thing I forgot to mention: When I was starting out it seemed that attacking dwarves worked for me. I never seemed to lose to a dwarf ever. I don't see how ranking even matters until you're good enough to stave off other peoples attacks and get them a loss. you noobs in the 800's are just free wins for the good people.
