If Michael R. Bloomberg runs for President as an Independent

Recommended Posts

1. Will he get a higher percentage of votes than Nader?

2. Will he get a higher percentage of votes than Perot?

3A. How many Republican votes will he steal?

3B. How many Democrat votes will he steal?

I'd like to have your true personal opinion. Not your politically affiliation rhetoric.

1. Yes

2. Yes

3. He'll probably steal about 50/50 because he was technically a Republican, but Independents are leaning heavily toward the Democratic party.

He'll have an impact. The guy can pour a billion dollars of his own money into a race and that's HUGE.

1. Yes

2. No (Perot got 19%, I don't see Bloomberg getting more than 15%)

3. Good question. I think that it really depends on who each party nominates. Ultimately, I agree, though, that he will syphon off mostly independents, who are heavily skewing Democratic these days.

Good answers. Very thought provoking. I'm thinking it's a Clinton/Obama Democratic ticket and I haven't a clue who'll be the Republicans team. Thompson/Guiliani maybe. Or even vice versa. I think McCain has bastardized himself too much. Ron Paul? Could be but I think the conservative base might be afraid of him.

Should be a fun campaign as long as there's a minimal amount of mudslinging.

He is on a mega anti-gun crusade. That is going to hurt him. Guy has been hiring his own private investigators for lawsuits and has fooked up several undercover stings and investigations. ATF has been all over his ass for it.
