mkuz 0 Posted August 2, 2007 i really have no idea of what his sentence will be but he will not be getting away with anything. i had a conversation with a lawyer friend of mine the other night and when i commented on how this was not big deal and he would be able to buy his way out of it. ie... OJ or the DUKE lacross case. she made it clear that this is a much bigger thing and that it wasnt some local attorney involved in charging vick it is the FEDS. these guys have any resource at their discretion... the FBI, the CIA and so on. in short.... vick is going down! fastfish 0 Posted August 2, 2007 Vick is not even charged/accused with killing even one dog per the entire 18 page indictment. Gepetto...don't you get tired of being wrong? Paragraphs 53 & 83 of the indictment detail Vick's personal involvement in killing and torturing dogs. now run along and look this up, cut and paste the relevant pargraphs back here, and then say you're sorry for being someone who lives life without having a clue. fastfish 0 Posted August 3, 2007 you Gepetto, are like Vick a liar....you never read the indictment and you cannot bluff away the truth son.....you and Vick will learn this ------------ Feds: Falcons QB, cohorts executed pit bulls that failed fight tests JULY 17--NFL star Michael Vick was indicted today on a federal conspiracy charge for his alleged role in a dog fighting venture that operated from a Virginia property owned by the Atlanta Falcons quarterback. A copy of the indictment, filed today in U.S. District Court in Richmond, can be found below. The 27-year-old Vick, whose nickname is listed as "Ookie" in the indictment, allegedly established the Bad Newz Kennels in early-2001 in Smithfield, Virginia. It was this property, for which Vick paid $34,000, that the star athlete and his codefendants used as the "main staging area for housing and training the pit bulls involved in the dog fighting venture and hosting dog fights." According to prosecutors, Vick and his cohorts began purchasing pit bull puppies in late-2001 and would eventually "sponsor" individual dog fights with purses as high as $26,000. In the indictment's most harrowing parts, federal investigators describe what happened to some Bad Newz Kennels dogs that either lost matches or did not perform well in test fights. After a March 2003 loss by a female pit bull, codefendant Purnell Peace, "after consulting with Vick," electrocuted the animal. In April, prosecutors allege, Vick, Peace, and Quanis Phillips, "executed approximately 8 dogs that did not perform well in 'testing' sessions." These animals, the indictment claims, were killed "by various methods, including hanging, drowning, and slamming at least one dog's body to the ground." Gepetto 1,469 Posted August 3, 2007 u are an idiot, page 3, section h. establishes the charge of detroying animals unfit for fighting. now STFU http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years...17072vick3.html There are SEVERAL specific accusations naming each of the 3 others accused specifically by name in specific acts of killing dogs and how it was done by each of those individuals. It seems pretty obvious when you read the whole indictment that they don't have a direct accusation of an instance of Vick killing a single dog. Now u STFU. I said Vick didn't kill any dogs, and even that section you point out doesn't accuse him of directly killing a dog.

fastfish 0 Posted August 3, 2007 I'd call Gepetto obtuse but he wouldn't know what I was saying. When Vick is in jail for killing dogs...personaly killing and torturing them as described in paragraphs 53 & 83 of the indictment he's never read...Gepetto will then be forced to admit he's a walking, talking box of rocks. fastfish 0 Posted August 14, 2007 That "not guilty" plea last month followed by that big speech his lawyer gave with mama Vick at his side not lookin' so good these days....things movin' fast now as the Feds push hard to wrap this case up. ------------- Report: Vick contemplating plea agreemen...Published Mon Aug 13 10:53:00 p.m. ET 2007(Rotoworld) Michael Vick is reportedly contemplating accepting a plea agreement like his co-defendants Purnell Peace, Quanis Phillips, and Tony Taylor have done. Impact: Vick's attorneys met with federal prosecutors on Monday, and according to a Vick spokesperson, the defense "didn't see (Phillips and Peace's plea deals) coming." Two new dog-fighting charges will reportedly be added to Vick's indictment if he doesn't change his plea from not guilty to guilty by Friday.

Bert 1,129 Posted August 14, 2007 Maybe he did. If he did he didn't understand. Even if Vick takes a plea he is done this year at a minimum, the personal conduct clause in his contract will have been violated and Atlanta will be able to void his contract. This is Vick waving goodbye to his money and his career.
fastfish 0 Posted August 14, 2007 Bonds did his crimes for money and knew only money would keep his boyz quiet Vick did his crimes for thrills and apparently is a cheap mutha 'cause his posse now rides with the sheriff Bonds is lyin' cheatin' scum...Vick is soaked with the innocent blood of dogs. The court of public opinion hates Vick more than Bonds.
fastfish 0 Posted August 14, 2007 per Atlanta paper: the deal includes jail time Vick attorneys negotiating plea | ajc.com http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/f...age_tab_newstab
Cuse9 131 Posted August 14, 2007 Michael Vick's attorneys are negotiating a plea agreement with federal prosecutors. It looks like this is it. An accord could be struck before two new charges are added to Vick's indictment at the end of the week. Vick faces up to six years of prison time at the present moment. The new charges could bump that up to 27 years in jail. Vick would be accepting a far lesser sentence by pleaing. He won't go to trial, but he's definitly going to jail....or so it seems. fastfish 0 Posted August 14, 2007 think back just short weeks ago....Vick in jail was dismissed as a non-reality considering his status as a top NFL star. justice does exist...and don't fukk with man's best friend.

fastfish 0 Posted August 25, 2007 in plain english-----> LIFETIME BAN RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - The NFL indefinitely suspended Michael Vick without pay Friday just hours after he acknowledged in court papers that he did, indeed, bankroll gambling on dogfighting and helped kill some dogs not worthy of the pit. In disciplining Vick, commissioner Roger Goodell said Vick's admitted conduct was "not only illegal but also cruel and reprehensible" and regardless whether he personally placed bets, "your actions in funding the betting and your association with illegal gambling both violate the terms of your NFL player contract and expose you to corrupting influences in derogation of one of the most fundamental responsibilities of an NFL player." Yeah, Vick never bet on his games that we know of, but he funded a gambling ring, so that destroys the integrity of the man right there, and the NFL hopefully will ban him for life. rdrs4life 0 Posted August 26, 2007 an attorney was on KNBR yesterday discussing this. Vick has missed any opportunity he once had to cop a plea. The gov't rewards the 1st one to come forward. Vick had his chance to do so and his buddy beat him to it. hate to say "I toldja so" A similar reaction by U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson, who will be presented with Vick's plea agreement on Monday, could mean years in prison. Oh sir, that is mighty impressive. Law school for you it must be.
