Spinoff: IMDB Challenge

Recommended Posts

Allrighty, here's how it works:

Challenge: Find the actor/actress with the most listings in the IMDB 'filmography' section.

Rules:

1. Only those listings in the 'actor' category. (not 'self', 'thanks', 'director', etc.

2. Can include films not yet released, but listed in IMDB.

3. Can include both films and TV - anything listed in the 'filmography' section.

I'll start it off with: Robert Loggia: 201

That's some quality googling. :dunno:

Didn't Google. Figured I'd take alot of crap from people who say voice acting doesn't count.

I actually tried Brando first and realized I'd have to do better than that.

For the record, I'm pretty anti-Google. Just sort of seems weird.

Check out this guy Charles Lane.

You might remember him best from It's a Wonderful Life. Wow. He's been in a ton of stuff. Mel Blanc notwitstanding (see below), there may be no more prolific actor in Hollywood history. He's been in 338 movies/tv appearances over a 75 year career!! What a stellar career the guy had. He just recently passed away, but check out his resume. Incredible.

Now, Mel Blanc: If ever there was a need a for an *, it's this guy. I mean, come on, saying "meep meep!" 4 times in 400 seven minute shorts should NOT count. But, technically, yep, he's gotta be the tops. I never knew he was Barney Rubble!!

I take that as a "no" then. I will try to find someone that everyone has heard of.

No, per the rules, your submission is well within the rules. So far, only your Babba Ganoush guy can hang with the likes of Mel Blanc.

Actually, I'm pretty well versed in this stuff. You're welcome for Loggia Wif. Anyhow, if you are talking about the true meaning of this category, then Lambert hit it correctly with John Carradine. Take a look at his work. Serious stuff.

Another guy you should all look at is James Hong. You will recongnize him instantly. He has over 305 or so. Most of you remember him from the Seinfeld episode where Jerry, Elaine & George were waiting for a table at the restaurant. He was the Maitre D"(sp)

"I yelled Cartwright, nobody answered."
